Celebrity makeup disasters and makeup malfunctions!

Even celebrities and famous people have had their share of makeup malfunctions – y’know, those makeup disaster moments when you’re photographed with lipstick on your teeth or a photo where you can see too much makeup powder on your face.
Avoiding makeup malfunctions is a matter of time management and attention to detail. Using the proper lighting, high quality mirrors, and allocated enough time to put on your makeup are all solutions that can help avoid a makeup faux pas.

Some famous people who’ve suffered embarrassing makeup malfunctions in photographs include: Christina Aguilera, Ashley Judd, Nicole Kidman, Blake Lively, Uma Thurman, Paris Hilton and Lady Gaga.

Actress Ashley Judd was photographed with heavy, chunky face powder on the bridge of her nose and under her eyes. Highlighting makeup powder can become more noticeable under the unforgiving light of a photographer’s lens. Ashley Judd could’ve avoided a makeup malfunction if she blended the makeup more. Nicole Kidman suffered a makeup disaster when she was photographed at an event with white powder on her nose and under her eyes. The makeup disaster could’ve been avoided with a better blending technique and more face powder added. Nicole Kimdan’s makeup malfunction is a common mistake many makeup artists fail to notice before they let their client get photographed.

Blake Lively was photographed with a slightly unnoticeable makeup disaster, as it could be easily ignored by the naked eye, but unflattering lighting has emphasized the makeup malfunction. Blake Lively’s highlighting powder under her eyes has left her skin look dull, pale and flat, and uneven tanning (or the use of tanning spray) has left patches of un-bronzed skin around her breasts.

Uma Thurman suffered an uneven hand from her makeup artists, resulting in heavy, chunky makeup residue left on the tip of her nose and uneven spots around her eyes. Uma Thurman looks as if she walked blind into a bakery or paid a visit to Tony Montana. Uma Thurman’s messy hair updo does little to help her makeup disaster.

Paris Hilton’s wonky eye colored contact lenses does little to distract from the makeup disaster on her teeth. Paris Hilton’s lipstick made its way onto her shiny white teeth in this unflattering photo. But we can’t decide what’s worse: Paris Hilton’s eyes or the spot of lipstick on the teeth?

Lady Gaga looks like a far cry from the well-polished performer we’re used to seeing. Lady Gaga appears to be wearing a lot of makeup that’s in the wrong skin tone for her. The makeup malfunction, thankfully, hasn’t repeated herself later in Mama Monster’s career.

Christina Aguilera caused a stir when photographs of her performance at Etta James’ funeral revealed spotty tanning streaks along her legs. Couple with an overly done war painted face, Christina Aguilera received stinging criticism for the makeup disaster.
