MSNBC’s Strategist, Steve Schmidt, is the only Republican to speak the truth about Rush Limbaugh's vicious attack upon the young female Georgetown University student, Sandra Fluke whose testimony (her opinion) on why Insurance Companies should pay for birth control, giving several references on other students who needed this type of medication for health concerns other than birth control. Because of this she was maniacally attacked by the professional bully Rush Limbaugh, which went on for 3 days on his daily radio broadcast that goes out to his Dittohead listeners... Limbaugh is losing advertisers but still remains on the air to annihilate anyone and everyone who dares to speak out against injustice, if it happens to go against his far rightwing opinions. Please watch the youtube video that shows there is one brave and truthful Republican out there in Rightwing land that is unafraid of Limbaugh and has spoken out against this bully. thinkingblue

The Pied Piper himself, Rush Limbaugh, dismissed reports of dozens of advertisers pulling their commercials from his show, telling listeners, “Everything is fine on the business side. Everything’s cool. There is not a thing to worry about.”
Limbaugh, citing claims he had lost {over} 28 sponsors, said that is “out of 18,000. That’s like losing a couple of french fries in the container when it’s delivered to you in the drive thru. You don’t even notice it.”

Hey Rush, the French Fries are still falling...
Talk Radio Losing Advertisers In Wake Of Limbaugh Scandal
The overwhelming exodus of advertisers from Rush Limbaugh's show has big-name companies rethinking their relationship with talk radio.
According to a memo published by the industry website Radio-Info.com, at least 98 advertisers -- including big names like Ford, GM and McDonald's -- have indicated they want to avoid "environments likely to stir negative sentiments."
Here's an excerpt of the memo, as published on Radio-Info.com:
"To all Traffic Managers: The information below applies to your Premiere Radio Networks commercial inventory. More than 350 different advertisers sponsor the programs and services provided to your station on a barter basis. Like advertisers that purchase commercials on your radio station from your sales staff, our sponsors communicate specific rotations, daypart preferences and advertising environments they prefer…
They’ve specifically asked that you schedule their commercials in dayparts or programs free of content that you know are deemed to be offensive or controversial (for example, Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, Tom Leykis, Michael Savage, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity). Those are defined as environments likely to stir negative sentiment from a very small percentage of the listening public."
Sponsors began abandoning Limbaugh's show en masse after he made offensive comments about Sandra Fluke, calling the law student a slut for her testimony in support of President Barack Obama's birth control mandate, and suggesting she should make sex tapes if she wants birth control covered by insurance.
By last count, at least 50 sponsors had pulled their support from Limbaugh's show, including AOL, The Huffington Post's parent company.

Our news media are so focused on the issues and the rhetoric spewed over them, that their lenses are NOT shining a light on the very thing that millions are craving; solutions.
During my 4+ years of no regular paychecks and recreating/educating myself based on my skills and passions, I traveled, (whenever I had gas money!), giving hunger and related issues a voice through videos, photos, blogs and lots of comments in social media forums.
I quickly learned that there are really innovative solutions popping up in communities all over; many formed through coalitions of organizations, businesses, schools, etc., that other communities could learn from, if a light/lens was shown upon all these 'Great Ideas That Work', (GITW). I also realized that I on my own, wasn't going to have the reach to help those communities and millions of people.
Then, I had my own GITW! What if there were a contest, where people from all over could submit their essays, photos and videos, folk could vote for the winning entries, exposure in media/social media would be great and we could publish a book and a feature length documentary out of the entries? So... I made a video proposal to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, figuring she likes positivity, hope, cool things and she has a far reach. https://bitly.com/wWSjR8
I have yet to hear from Ellen's staff and this week, the toll of so long without a regular income, will claim my home. I want to get this idea viral and for some major entity to MOVE on helping the millions of hopeless, using ideas that already exist. (I'd also like them to give me a job but my higher purpose has always been to help others.)
GE, parent company of MSNBC/NBC/CNBC tout their work in innovation and between the 3 aforementioned networks, have millions of devoted viewers that could go out in their communities, (if they don't already know what GITW in their regions!), and seek/document/submit, so that we could start repairing the severe fracture in America's foundation; the diminishing middle class which is swelling the ranks of the impoverished.
I'll be spending the day making a video proposal to GE and several other entities I feel could step up and pull this project off, but hope that y'all can help me send my video proposal to Ellen, viral. I need a miracle and so do millions of others. Wouldn't it feel great knowing you helped change a life and/or millions, with a small action?
Please start pushing our national and local news media, to start reporting on solutions. A small spark can unleash a wildfire. Our news media are so focused on the issues and the rhetoric spewed over them, that... more

Comedian Bill Maher on Monday defended his donation to Priorities USA Action, warning liberals that President Barack Obama’s victory in the 2012 elections wasn’t “in the bag.”
Maher shocked audiences around the world last week when he announced he’d be donating $1 million to the pro-Obama super PAC.
“I promise you when it comes to election night, it’s going to be neck and neck,” Maher said Monday on MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews.
“Obama had a giant money advantage last time because the most anybody could give was $2,300. Now Sheldon Adelson talks about giving $100 million. The game has changed from small contributions to large contributions, in the millions, the many millions. He is going to have a tremendous financial disadvantage.”
The Supreme Court’s Citizens United ruling in January 2010 gave rise to super PACS, which can raise an unlimited amount of money to influence federal elections, so long as they do not directly coordinate with a candidate’s campaign.
“I always talk about the Republican bubble that they live in. But there’s a bit of a liberal bubble too,” Maher added. “They hear Rick Santorum talking about the father of lies and how college is bad and they think ‘these people are nuts’ but half the country doesn’t think its nuts.”
He also said Republicans were running against “a fictional president.”
“A president who has slashed defense, who has raised taxes, who goes around the world apologizing, who coddles terrorists, all of which of course never happened,” Maher explained. “But that’s who they think the president is.”

Ron Paul has been firing back against media claims he is a libertarian for years, but the mainstream media kept calling him a libertarian anyway. Now they are going to criticize him by saying he isn’t a libertarian? It can’t get any more distorted and biased then this, but we would expect no less from a bought and paid for media goliath. Suuuuuure she did!
There must be something especially disarming about Andrea Mitchell. Twice now, within a week’s span, she’s gotten Santorum spokespersons to make news.

Just for the record, I don't want a White America any more than I want Hispanic America, a Black America, or a Jewish America.
I just find it interesting that there is a double standard that the Atlantic's Hua Hsu is paid to publish an article speculating on the end of a White America, but someone like Patrick Buchannan is not allowed to write a chapter of a book with the exact same title without losing his job.
I know that there is going to be the usual hate spewed all over by the usual clique for this post.

My days as a political analyst at MSNBC have come to an end.
After 10 enjoyable years, I am departing, after an incessant clamor from the left that to permit me continued access to the microphones of MSNBC would be an outrage against decency, and dangerous.
The calls for my firing began almost immediately with the Oct. 18 publication of Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025?
A group called Color of Change, whose mission statement says that it "exists to strengthen Black America's political voice," claimed that my book espouses a "white supremacist ideology." Color of Change took particular umbrage at the title of Chapter 4, "The End of White America."
Yet my four-months' absence from MSNBC and now my departure represent an undeniable victory for the blacklisters.
The modus operandi of these thought police at Color of Change and ADL is to brand as racists and anti-Semites any writer who dares to venture outside the narrow corral in which they seek to confine debate.
All the while prattling about their love of dissent and devotion to the First Amendment, they seek systematically to silence and censor dissent.
Without a hearing, they smear and stigmatize as racist, homophobic or anti-Semitic any who contradict what George Orwell once called their "smelly little orthodoxies." They then demand that the heretic recant, grovel, apologize, and pledge to go forth and sin no more.
Defy them, and they will go after the network where you work, the newspapers that carry your column, the conventions that invite you to speak. If all else fails, they go after the advertisers.
I know these blacklisters. They operate behind closed doors, with phone calls, mailed threats and off-the-record meetings. They work in the dark because, as Al Smith said, nothing un-American can live in the sunlight.

Republicans have their futures invested, not only in offshore and unnumbered Swiss bank accounts, but on the failure of President Obama to turn the economy around. When, in heavens’ name, will this torrent of bad tidings cease?
Five straight months, now! For the fifth month in a row, the unemployment rate has dropped! How, in God’s name, is Mitt Romney supposed to keep saying, with a straight face that President Obama’s policies are making things worse?
The Republicans need Obama to fail and fail real hard! They need to show themselves as American’s only salvation, riding to the rescue on a big white (yes, white) horse to save America from the communist, socialist, marxist, fascist, villainous, reckless, Kenyan Indonesian economic policies of this man whose first words to his Communist mother were allgedly “death to America.”
That’s the only reason Obama is improving the economy. To fool you into thinking he cares about you. It’s the same reason former National Rifle Association President Wayne LaPierre gave last September for Obama not pushing gun control. It’s all a massive conspiracyso he can come get your guns in the second term!

Andrea Mitchell Claims Mitt Romney’s Family Entered The Country Illegally
Appearing on The Chris Matthews Show, in a discussion on the upcoming Florida primary, Andrea Mitchell claimed that Mitt Romney‘s relatives entered the United States illegally.
“And looking ahead to the next primary in Florida, 30 percent of the Hispanic community is Cuban-American. That’s a smaller proportion, and so the Hispanic community there is different. And they are less prone to be susceptible to Mitt Romney’s really hard line on immigration, more prone to the Newt Gingrich approach to immigration,” Mitchell observed. “The other interesting little fact is about the Mexican Romneys, those looking back at all of those records say that Mitt Romney should look back at the records because the Romneys that came back from Mexico to the United States, they crossed the border illegally.”
Mitchell’s remarks left conservative columnist Kathleen Parker in stunned silence. “Well, you may have one-upped me on that one, Andrea!” Parker exclaimed incredulously.
RELATED: Mitt Romney Calls For The Deportation Of President Obama’s Uncle
As Newsbusters’ Noel Sheppard notes, it was unclear where Mitchell was basing this claim. Romney’s Mexican roots have been widely reported; this morning, NPR wrote a story about Romney’s Mexican family, but didn’t explore whether his ancestors were documented citizens.
According to NPR’s John Burnett:
In 1912, the Mormons fled their colonies in Mexico to escape the violence of the Mexican revolution.
Miles Park Romney begat Gaskell Romney, who begat George Romney. George — who was never a Mexican citizen — was 5 years old when the family left Mexico. He went on to be an auto executive, governor of Michigan, and a presidential candidate. George begat Mitt, who was born in Detroit.
Most of the Mormons never went back to Mexico. But one of Miles Park’s sons, Miles Archibold, did return. And it is his progeny who remain here today, Mitt’s second cousins.
UPDATE: Burnett told Mediaite he did not come across any documents indicating the Gaskell Romney family came to the US illegally, noting they were part of an exodus of 1,200 Mormons from Mexico.
CNN contributor Ruben Navarrette Jr. explains that Romney’s ancestors crossed into Mexico but never became Mexican citizens:
Romney’s great-grandfather, Miles Park Romney, fled the United States and crossed into Mexico in 1885 to escape religious persecution. He helped build the Mormon enclave of Colonia Juarez in Chihuahua.
Miles Park Romney never became a Mexican citizen, and neither did his son, Gaskell, or grandson, George. They were all denied Mexican citizenship because statutes on the books in Mexico denied that right to American settlers and their offspring.

Pat Buchanan on Tuesday blamed “militant gay rights groups” and former Obama administration official Van Jones for a campaign to oust him from his commentator gig at MSNBC.
MSNBC President Phil Griffin suggested last week that the former Republican presidential candidate had been indefinitely suspended from MSNBC after the publication of his book “Suicide of a Superpower,” which contains chapters titled “The End of White America” and “The Death of Christian America.”
“The reports of my suspension are highly overrated,” Buchanan chuckled to Sean Hannity Tuesday. “In November, I had a medical condition, shakes, fever, chills, and I was in the hospital for 11 days, and pretty big hit. … There’s been no formal notification of anything like that.”
“Look, for a long period of time, the hard left, militant gay rights groups, militant — they call themselves civil rights groups, but I’m not sure they’re concerned about civil rights — people of color, Van Jones, these folks and others have been out to get Pat Buchanan off TV and deny him speeches, get his column canceled,” Buchanan noted, speaking about himself in the third person.
“This has been done for years and years and years. And it’s the usual suspects doing the same thing again. But my view is you write what you believe to be the truth.”
In an email to supporters on Tuesday, Color of Change, an organization co-founded by Jones, credited the more than 275,000 members who signed a petition demanding MSNBC fire Buchanan.
“This is a huge victory for everyone who cares about keeping hateful, racially divisive rhetoric and misinformation out of the mainstream media,” the group wrote.

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney asserted on Sunday that his opposition to same sex marriage was not discrimination against gay people.
During a GOP debate in New Hampshire Sunday, WHDH’s Andy Hiller asked Romney, “How have you stood up for gay rights, and when have you used your voice to influence Republicans on this issue?”
“I don’t discriminate,” Romney declared. “And in the appointments that I made when I was governor of Massachusetts, a member of my cabinet was gay.”
“I made it very clear that, in my view, we should not discriminate in hiring policies, in legal policies,” he continued. “At the same time from the very beginning in 1994, I said to the gay community, ‘I do not favor same sex marriage; I oppose same sex marriage.’”

NaturalNews) A post-debate poll shown on MSNBC.com reveals Ron Paul to be the landslide winner of the internet survey, capturing 43.5% of the votes on the question, "Who do you think won the Republican debate at the Reagan library?"
The next closest candidate, Mitt Romney, received just 21.5% of the votes, or almost exactly half the number of votes received by Ron Paul. You might expect Mitt Romney's graph bar, therefore, to be half the size of Ron Paul's right? Nope. These poll results, it turns out, have been radically distorted to diminish the apparent lead of Ron Paul in the poll.
