So ditch the card and get your mom a topless photo shoot!
In each episode of Modern Lady, Erin Gibson explores the often-conflicting ways in which today's media tells women to work, love, and be ladies.

Last week iTunes gave three Current comedy podcasts the coveted title of best podcasts of 2009.
- Rotten Tomatoes Show (#4)
- Target Women (#10)
- infoMania (#16)
Congratulations to the infoMania and Rotten Tomatoes Show teams.
A lot of Current's shows are available through the iTunes store. So now you can watch'em live on TV, stream'em from Current.com, and download them from iTunes. That's singularity. I think--- I hear a lot of people use that word, and I want to fit in.
In the meantime check out the award winning Sarah Haskin's and her year-end edition of Target Women.

Last night, infoMania presented their annual Retrospectacular, these are some of the highlights.
Watch as Conor Knighton reminds you of everything that happened in the world of media this year, and you'll be saying, 'Oh yeah, I remember that.'
infoMania gives out its prestigious awards, the Retrospectatties, to the most deserving moments from the year in media. Want to see Shakira hump some speakers? Yeah, we've got that.
2009 was the worst year ever. And Ben Hoffman has the numbers to prove it. Check it out in this year's final infoMania Editorial.
New from Time-Life, a 3-CD set featuring the hottest jams about everyone's favorite miroblogging platform. An infoMania parody.
Sarah Haskins explains a few of the lessons she learned while watching hundreds of hours of ads this year.

So the Utah Flash, a D-League team pissed off the crowd of a charity basketball game, by hoaxing them into thinking Michael Jordan would be playing. Of course this was all an attempt at viral marketing.
“We wanted to test the strength and effectiveness of viral media by putting him out in Provo with bodyguards, and some hype.”
Brandt Andersen, team owner
Even though the viral hoax was poorly executed, it clearly worked, because I am writing about it. It's that classic example of "any news is good news." If anything, now people are aware that Utah has a basketball team.
More importantly I found out about the world of impersonators, celebrity lookalikes, and doubles. If you know me well, you know I have four interests.
Surprise birthday parties.
People that have crossed the Potomac.
Individuals who have been married to Brooke Shields.
Stars of movies that use puns in their titles.
Well my birthday is coming up, and Lookalikes-USA.com looks like they can synthesize all of my interests. HINT HINT.
Not only did the real George Washington cross the Potomac, but that's also how his impostor will arrive at your party.
Even though this Andre Agassi impersonator was never married to Brook Shields, he once dated her look alike, and that works for me.
Lastly, Tim Allen was the star of the Santa Clause, perhaps the finest pun in the history of cinema. You can tell by this guy's smile, that even though he is an impostor, he's probably full of puns.
So again, please rent all these impersonators, and have them show up on my birthday, without my knowledge.
Toodles! So the Utah Flash, a D-League team pissed off the crowd of a charity basketball game,... more

Another great episode of infoMania!
Just one of the things Conor Knighton looks at in his weekly roundup of the week in media. Also includes Tiger Woods' car crash, White House party crashers, 'The Bad Girls Club,' disabled models, and Afghanistan.
Tiger Woods says his recent incident is a "private matter." In this week's infoMania Editorial, Ben Hoffman disagrees. Big time.
This week on the White Hot Top 5, Sergio Cilli looks at the top selling music video on iTunes. On the list: Taylor Swift, Jay-Z, Shakira, Beyoncé, and Lady Gaga.
Anyone can shop on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Check out infoMania's new schedule of shopping days for the holiday season.
That's what 'Time' magazine says on it's cover, so Conor Knighton is talking about it in 'We've Got You Covered,' his weekly roundup of magazines. Also includes: 50 Cent, rap web sites, Soulja Boy, Twitter, Ashton Kutcher, Tom Brady, Tiger Woods, Wendy Williams, Leonardo DiCaprio, and vegetables.
What's the best way to get people to watch a show? Tape a bunch of people destroying perfectly good objects. Conor Knighton takes a look at the best of destruction TV.

infoMania again did a great job of being purely hilarious. It seems like the only way that cable news can describe the health bill is in terms of baseball. News simply does not know how to celebrate women in sports, unless maybe they are having threesomes.
Conor Knighton looks at Twilight New Moon Mania and Carrie Prejean Sex Tape.
Sarah Haskins fears every moment when she is not being protected by Broadview Security.
Have you ever noticed how news loves fat people, but only from the neck down?
Ben Hoffman's returns to his passion... with a Tech Report on iPhone apps!!!!! This time they are sexxxy

infoMania looks at how local news takes on Halloween. (Everything seems to scare them.)
Brian shows you how easy it is to convert from gay to straight. Ben tries to find something to do on Halloween. Brett's Viral Video Film School gets in the Halloween spirit, as he takes a look at YouTube's Creepiest Fetish Costumes.

Still uninformed about the world you're living in? infoMania is here to help.
Last night, Conor kept you up on the biggest stories. What's grosser than a reenactment of an actual colonic? A real colonic performed live on the Tyra show. Sabado Gigante's has a Miss Ass competition, which is way less gross. Balloon Boy is still all over the news, and Rick Sanchez names a hurricane after himself.
Ben visits the prestigious Fox Reality Show Awards, and schmoozes with Paris Hilton.
Sergio's White Hot Top 5 looks at YouTube's Hottest Rap Videos. He finds they, aren't as hot as youtube would like you to think.
In memory of Thomas Edison, Brett's Viral Video Film School takes a look at YouTube's Dumbest inventions. These inventions are so dumb, that Edison would probably rollover in his grave. Using modern pseudo-science, we can know what people are saying as they roll around in their grave. Conor looks at the profundity of ghost shows on television.
There is so much more in this weeks episode, so have a looksy at some of the best clips from the week of October 22nd, 2009.Still uninformed about the world you're living in? infoMania is here to help.... more

I love the future. I mean I am really content with living in the present, but if I ever were to dream of another time period, it'd be the future. (Sorry Victorian era England.) My favorite version of the future is a sort of post-apocalypse overrun by robots, zombies, or zombie-robots. You can imagine how elated I was to find out that my coworkers, were creating that same sort of future in their latest promo.

A lot happens in the week, and infoMania does a really great job about keeping you informed in the funniest way possible.
In this episode Conor Knighton looks at what makes us uniquely American (apparently it's Nascar.)
Sarah Haskins looks at the finest spokeswoman of all time: Brooke Shields.
Ben Hoffman goes to town hall meetings to find out the ugly truth.
Sergio Cilli asks the age hard hitting question, "Why does rock suck in 2009?" The answers will be startling.
I learned a lot from watching the show this week, but I think the most informative had to do with whether something is or, is not necrophilia.
Thanks infoMania!
