We often hear figures about the discrepancy between how often men and women have orgasms, with men getting off a heck of a lot more than women. According to some new research, women come only 80% as often as men if they're in relationships, and the rate drops to 50% if we're talking about repeated hookups, and only 30% for one-time shags. So what gives? Some might say it's because women need a bit more TLC to get off, but this study shows it's actually that men just aren't trying that hard.
This "orgasm gap" seems to stem from the idea that men may be less likely to care about getting their women to orgasm based on how important the relationship is to them. Funny I always thought that men got a little ego boost when they got girls off, but apparently they're more concerned about their own personal investments and returns.
