Legislation could lead to despised federal agency being marginalized from aviation security
The Senate has passed legislation that includes a provision allowing airports to replace TSA screeners with private security, opening the door for the widely loathed federal agency to be marginalized from aviation security altogether.
The bill was primarily concerned with how the Federal Aviation Authority would be funded for the next four years, but also included measures that would force the TSA to reconsider applications from airports to replace TSA workers with their own privately hired screeners.
“Security companies would have an easier time winning contracts to operate airport checkpoints,” reports Businessweek.
Following a massive nationwide backlash against the TSA’s invasive groping policies and its use of radiation-firing naked body scanners, linked by many prestigious health bodies to cancer, an increasing number of airports attempted to take responsibility for their own screening procedures by replacing TSA workers with privately hired personnel
Should airports choose to replace TSA screeners with their own private security, it would not only mean the screeners were better trained and more responsible for their actions, alleviating the problems of thefts and abuse by TSA workers, but it would also create tens of thousands of much needed jobs for the private sector.
“Some airport executives have argued that contract security personnel are more courteous than government workers,” reports CNN. “It was felt that a private contractor would provide friendlier customer service to the traveling public,” the head of a Roswell, New Mexico, airport wrote to Congress.”
A November 2010 poll found that the TSA’s “enhanced pat downs,” some of which include touching genitalia, angered 57% of regular adult fliers.Legislation could lead to despised federal agency being marginalized from aviation... more

This is a great essay. It's a bit older, but worth revisiting as we are in the presidential campaign season and I've not heard any candidate, not even Ron Paul speak about possibly the greatest heist in world history. And the media is more than happy to keep waving abortion, race, religions (insert your favorite wedge issue here) in our faces day after day.

I wrote Arrogance Of A Banker. I thought that would stir someone up enough to do something, but it didn’t.
This is how my friends and I stole 2.2 trillion dollars of your money in the 1990s and more since. The Treasury sells bonds to pay the deficit using the New York branch of the Federal Reserve and what are called Primary Dealers. What we did was really simple. We just sold 2.2 trillion dollars in Treasury bonds over and above what the deficit required in the 1990s. All you had to do to arrest everyone in Wall Street was to examine the books at Cantor Fitzgerald’s offices at One World Trade Center on the 101st to 105th floors. Too bad all the evidence went up in smoke on 9-11-2001.
There were no repercussions for taking down the World Trade Center with nanothermite and controlled demolitions. Well timed and placed explosions turned 440,000 cubic yards of concrete (336,404 cubic meters) into dust in less than 3 seconds but most people believed that jet fuel alone did that. What a laugh.
That was so funny and made so much money for us that we decided to do it again. We sold 1.5 trillion more in bonds than the deficits required over a period of 45 months. So far nothing has happened. I know we can’t cover it up by blowing up the World Trade Center again. But we can always launch World War III. We were planning another war anyway.
I need to make something perfectly clear that people do not seem to understand. Catherine Austin Fitts has been telling people about the billions of dollars that goes missing every week from government spending. She was at Housing and Urban Development and said 59.3 billion dollars went missing from HUD in just two years. Most of you know that Donald Rumsfeld and rabbi Dov Zakheim, the Comptroller of the Pentagon, admitted on 9-10–2001 that 2.3 trillion dollars went missing from the Department of Defense. Fortunately, neither Rumsfeld nor Zakheim were looking for that missing money on 9-11-2001 because Flight 77 just happened to crash into the Pentagon auditing section and killed the auditors who were hot on the trail of the missing trillions.
The money Catherine said has been stolen from federal spending – you as a mere peasant are not allowed to audit – is in my estimate about 4 billion dollars a week. But that is completely separate from the money we pocket from selling phony Treasury bonds.
Let me give a clear example so even the dumbest Christian Zionist can understand. In June of last year approximately 17.3 billion dollars (at a rate of 4 billion dollars a week for 4.3 weeks) was stolen from unaudited government spending. But for the sake of believability I will cut that estimate by 3 billion down to 14.3 billion dollars. This helped run the deficit up from 53.7 billion dollars to 68 billion. So the Treasury in June of last year had to raise a total of 68 billion including the 14.3 billion Catherine was speaking about. The New York FED and the primary dealers sold a total of 211 billion dollars. If you subtract the 68 billion actually needed from the 211, you get a total of 143 billion dollars we pocketed from the sale of phony Treasury bonds. Now go back and add in the 14.3 billion to the 143 billion and you get a total of 157.3 billion dollars we stole in just one month from you.
Like I said, “What are you going to do about it?”

Excerpts from the article Sayanim - Israeli Operatives in the U.S. from Guilt By Association author Jeff Gates.
A bit legthy, but well worth the time reading if you want to begin to understand anything about US foreign policy.
***
The Sayanim System
When Israeli-American Jonathan Pollard was arrested for spying in 1986, Tel Aviv assured us that he was not an Israeli agent but part of a “rogue” operation. That was a lie.
Only 12 years later did Tel Aviv concede that he was an Israeli spy the entire time he was stealing U.S. military secrets. That espionage—by a purported ally—damaged our national security more than any operation in U.S. history.
In short, Israel played us for the fool.
From 1981-1985, this U.S. Navy intelligence analyst provided Israel with 360 cubic feet of classified military documents on Soviet arms shipments, Pakistani nuclear weapons, Libyan air defense systems and other intelligence sought by Tel Aviv to advance its geopolitical agenda.
Agents differ from assets and sayanim. Agents possess the requisite mental state to be convicted of treason, a capital crime. Under U.S. law, that internal state is what distinguishes premeditated murder from a lesser crime such as involuntary manslaughter. Though there’s a death in either case, the legal liabilities are different—for a reason.
Sayanim (singular sayan) are shielded from conventional legal culpability by being told only enough to perform their narrow role. Though their help may be essential to the success of an Israeli operation, these volunteers (sayanim also means helpers) could pass a polygraph test because their recruiters ensure they remain ignorant of the overall goals of an operation.
In other words, a sayan can operate as an accomplice but still not be legally liable due to a lack of the requisite intent regarding the broader goals—of which they are purposely kept ignorant. Does that intentional “ignorance” absolve them of liability under U.S. law? So far, yes.
Much like military reservists, sayanim are activated when needed to support an operation. By agreeing to be available to help Israel, they provide an on-call undercover corps and force-multiplier that can be deployed on short notice.
How are sayanim called to action? To date, there’s been no attempt by U.S. officials to clarify that key point. This may explain why Pollard was again in the news on July 13th with a high-profile Israeli commemoration of his 9000th day of incarceration.
Morris Amitay, former executive director of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, explains how this invisible cadre aids the Israel lobby in advancing its geopolitical agenda:
“There are a lot of guys at the working level up here [on Capitol Hill]…who happen to be Jewish, who are willing…to look at certain issues in terms of their Jewishness…These are all guys who are in a position to make the decision in these areas for those senators…You can get an awful lot done just at the staff level.”
Victor Ostrovksy, a former Mossad katsa (case officer) wrote in 1990 that the Mossad had 7,000 sayanim in London alone. In London’s 1990 population of 6.8 million, Israel’s all-volunteer corps represented one-tenth of one percent of the residents of that capital city.
If Washington, DC is ten times more critical to Israel’s geopolitical goals (an understatement), does that mean the FBI should expect to find ten times more sayanim per capita in Washington?
What sayanim are not told by their katsas is that an Israeli operation may endanger not only Israel but also the broader Jewish community when these operations are linked to extremism, terrorism, organized crime, espionage and treason. Though sayanim “must be 100 percent Jewish,” Ostrovsky reports in By Way of Deception (1990).Excerpts from the article Sayanim - Israeli Operatives in the U.S. from Guilt By... more

After the Associated Press revealed an NYPD collaboration with the CIA, in which the department spied on entire Muslim neighborhoods, that relationship is ending.
An internal CIA investigation cleared the agency of wrongdoing, but decided that the CIA operative currently assigned to the NYPD intelligence unit will leave because the officer who served in that role until 2010 was "operating without sufficient supervision," The Wall Street Journal reports, while creating "spying programs that helped make the NYPD one of the nation's most aggressive domestic intelligence agencies."
While the identity of the current agent, who will be pulled, remains classified, Lawrence Sanchez did the job for nearly a decade after September 11, and remained on the CIA payroll from 2002 to 2004 before taking a leave of absence.
The legal justifications for the relationship between the NYPD and the CIA, as well as the spying program in general, remain murky, with the CIA pushing general terrorism-related justifications. "Context matters here," said an agency spokesperson. "The CIA stepped up cooperation with law enforcement on counterterrorism after 9/11. It's hard to imagine that anyone is suggesting this was inappropriate or unexpected."After the Associated Press revealed an NYPD collaboration with the CIA, in which the... more

Scientists note that fear of terrorism makes people stupid.
As I’ve repeatedly noted, FBI agents and CIA intelligence officials, constitutional law expert professor Jonathan Turley, Time Magazine, and the Washington Post have all said that U.S. government officials “were trying to create an atmosphere of fear in which the American people would give them more power”.
Indeed, the former Secretary of Homeland Security – Tom Ridge – admits that he was pressured to raise terror alerts to help Bush win reelection.
In the real world, as the National Safety Council notes:
– You are 17,600 times more likely to die from heart disease than from a terrorist attack
– You are 12,571 times more likely to die from cancer than from a terrorist attack
— You are 11,000 times more likely to die in an airplane accident than from a terrorist plot involving an airplane
— You are 1048 times more likely to die from a car accident than from a terrorist attack
–You are 404 times more likely to die in a fall than from a terrorist attack
— You are 87 times more likely to drown than die in a terrorist attack
– You are 13 times more likely to die in a railway accident than from a terrorist attack
–You are 12 times more likely to die from accidental suffocation in bed than from a terrorist attack
–You are 9 times more likely to choke to death on your own vomit than die in a terrorist attack
–You are 8 times more likely to be killed by a police officer than by a terrorist
–You are 8 times more likely to die from accidental electrocution than from a terrorist attack
– You are 6 times more likely to die from hot weather than from a terrorist attack

The plans for a Homeland Security bureaucracy were put together years before 9/11 and only able to be publicly announced and endorsed after the terror attacks of 9/11.
In the years after 9/11 we have seen a full scale police state begin to be initiated with the Department of Homeland Security at the forefront of the destructive, anti American police state policies that now run rampant throughout the country.
Just five days after 9/11, Gingrich appeared on live TV to essentially plug the idea of Homeland Security a full 14 months before it came into existence. The plans for a Homeland Security bureaucracy were put together years before 9/11 and... more

Immunity from judicial review
Like the Bush administration, the Obama administration has successfully pushed for immunity for companies that assist in warrantless surveillance of citizens, blocking the ability of citizens to challenge the violation of privacy. (Similarly, China has maintained sweeping immunity claims both inside and outside the country and routinely blocks lawsuits against private companies.)
Continual monitoring of citizens
The Obama administration has successfully defended its claim that it can use GPS devices to monitor every move of targeted citizens without securing any court order or review. (Saudi Arabia has installed massive public surveillance systems, while Cuba is notorious for active monitoring of selected citizens.)
Extraordinary renditions
The government now has the ability to transfer both citizens and noncitizens to another country under a system known as extraordinary rendition, which has been denounced as using other countries, such as Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Pakistan, to torture suspects. The Obama administration says it is not continuing the abuses of this practice under Bush, but it insists on the unfettered right to order such transfers — including the possible transfer of U.S. citizens.
These new laws have come with an infusion of money into an expanded security system on the state and federal levels, including more public surveillance cameras, tens of thousands of security personnel and a massive expansion of a terrorist-chasing bureaucracy.
Some politicians shrug and say these increased powers are merely a response to the times we live in. Thus, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) could declare in an interview last spring without objection that “free speech is a great idea, but we’re in a war.” Of course, terrorism will never “surrender” and end this particular “war.”
Other politicians rationalize that, while such powers may exist, it really comes down to how they are used. This is a common response by liberals who cannot bring themselves to denounce Obama as they did Bush. Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.), for instance, has insisted that Congress is not making any decision on indefinite detention: “That is a decision which we leave where it belongs — in the executive branch.”
And in a signing statement with the defense authorization bill, Obama said he does not intend to use the latest power to indefinitely imprison citizens. Yet, he still accepted the power as a sort of regretful autocrat.
An authoritarian nation is defined not just by the use of authoritarian powers, but by the ability to use them. If a president can take away your freedom or your life on his own authority, all rights become little more than a discretionary grant subject to executive will.
The framers lived under autocratic rule and understood this danger better than we do. James Madison famously warned that we needed a system that did not depend on the good intentions or motivations of our rulers: “If men were angels, no government would be necessary.”
Benjamin Franklin was more direct. In 1787, a Mrs. Powel confronted Franklin after the signing of the Constitution and asked, “Well, Doctor, what have we got — a republic or a monarchy?” His response was a bit chilling: “A republic, Madam, if you can keep it.”
Since 9/11, we have created the very government the framers feared: a government with sweeping and largely unchecked powers resting on the hope that they will be used wisely.
The indefinite-detention provision in the defense authorization bill seemed to many civil libertarians like a betrayal by Obama. While the president had promised to veto the law over that provision, Levin, a sponsor of the bill, disclosed on the Senate floor that it was in fact the White House that approved the removal of any exception for citizens from indefinite detention.
Dishonesty from politicians is nothing new for Americans. The real question is whether we are lying to ourselves when we call this country the land of the free.
Jonathan Turley is the Shapiro professor of public interest law at George Washington University.

Cass Sunstein wrote a paper in 2008 advocating thought and speech control through goverment enforcement titled Conspiracy Theories: Causes and Cures.
In it, Sunstein recommends a number of bizarre ways in which the government could "ban conspiracy theories including “infiltrating” social network websites, chat rooms and message boards; called "cognitive infiltration,”
The find comes as a government document reportedly relates the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s command center routinely monitors dozens of popular websites, including Facebook, Twitter, Hulu, WikiLeaks and news sites including the Huffington Post and Drudge Report.
Sunstein said government agents “might enter chat rooms, online social networks, or even real-space groups and attempt to undermine percolating conspiracy theories by raising doubts about their factual premises, causal logic or implications for political action.”
Sunstein defined a conspiracy theory as “an effort to explain some event or practice by reference to the machinations of powerful people, who have also managed to conceal their role.”
Some “conspiracy theories” recommended for ban by Sunstein include:
•“Holocaust denial"
•“Anti-Israel sentiments"
•“9/11 Truth"
•“The theory of global warming is a deliberate fraud”
•“The view that the Central Intelligence Agency was responsible for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy”
•“The 1996 crash of TWA flight 800 was caused by a U.S. military missile”
•“The Trilateral Commission is responsible for important movements of the international economy”

All this debate about TSA oppressive security measures and radical, freedom stealing legislation such as Carl Levin's (MI-D) NDAA 2012 and Joe Lieberman's (I-CT) Enemy Expatriation Act are all based on one gigantic hoax called "Al Qaeda."

An American investigative journalist says the al-Qaeda is a fairytale terrorist group made up by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Israeli spy agency, Mossad.
"In the US, the Zionist propagandists are spinning the fanciful tale that Iran was involved with "al-Qaeda," the fairy tale organization concocted by Mossad and the CIA, in carrying out the 9/11 attacks," Wayne Madsen wrote in an article published in Global Research.
Madsen was referring to the latest US allegation that Iran was involved in the September 11, 2001 attacks on New York and Washington.
On December 22, a US federal judge in Manhattan alleged that Iran, together with the Taliban and al-Qaeda, had been involved in the 9/11 attacks.
The court, meanwhile, withdrew Saudi Arabia's name from the 10-year-old case, even though 15 of the 19 attackers were Saudi nationals.
Tehran has condemned Washington's allegations as amateurish and baseless scenarios.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said that the US is jeopardizing international peace and security by repeating such groundless claims.

On Sunday, Iran rejected a ruling by Judge George Daniels in Manhattan that it is responsible along with al-Qaeda and the Taliban for the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast characterized the court decision as “clumsy scenario-making” by the United States. He said al-Qaeda has no presence in Iran and that it is quite “evident” that the United States created al-Qaeda and supported it.

A majority of Americans are aware that 9/11 had clear signs of government complicity, both operationally and in the subsequent investigation that even Judge Napolitano and Geraldo Rivera of Rupert Murcoch’s FOX NEWS called a “whitewash.” A major Australian poll taken last fall showed 77% of people there believe the US government to be fully complicit in 9/11. Similar polls in the US regularly score over 50%, some much higher.
Sabrosky’s case, presented with much clarity, plants responsibility for 9/11 at the feet of Israel and Americans whose loyalties, if we can call them that, are certainly not to the United States. That these “Americans” now believed to be complicit in the planning and execution of the 9/11 terror attacks are, for the most part, officials of the government, is telling.

Every soldier that enlists in the Army chooses a Military Occupational Specialty (MOS). Designated by a number and a letter, the 31E MOS now includes advanced responsibilities including command and control of prisoner of war and civilian internee camps.
While the civilian designation likely applies to foreign nationals in their home countries, it reads more ominously now that the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is getting nods from legislators as it makes its way through the Senate.

Most of you who have followed this blog from its inception have surmised, rightly or wrongly, that I do not buy into the official 9/11 account. I never did,- at first, believing it was an inside job with no outside interference. As more facts surfaced, I began to believe the involvement of other nations. I shared my feelings with few, knowing what a volatile and sensitive subject this was. I had also learned that people believe what they want, regardless of what is presented as far as solid hard facts. I became tired and fatigued by the constant harassment I had received for my views.
As far back as 2006, I have now learned, America was told, first by Donald Rumsfeld, who had another famous 'slip' of the tongue, and later confirmed by the other worldly Dick Cheney on September 6, 2011 in an interview on Fox News with Chris Wallace that Flight 93 was shot down on his orders.
Did you know that? I didn't know that. And I read headlines in several languages every bloody day of the week. Not a peep. For five years, we have known that at least one of the planes that was 'supposedly' hijacked and 'heroically' driven into the ground by its passengers was blown out of the sky on the order of the vice president of the United States. Didn't we just see memorials on the anniversary of that dreadful, awful, hair-raising day in New York, and Washington DC, and in Pennsylvania?
WHY DID THIS NOT MAKE HEADLINES? Why the cover up? Will people now finally begin to ask questions about the plane that vanished into the Pentagon leaving no footprint of itself? Truly, America has taken idiocy to a formidable level. Where's the debris? the body parts? Were they not able to ensure that someone's passport would be found as they did at Ground Zero? How dumb are we, seriously?

Since going on air in 1996, Alex Jones has made a number of startling predictions that have come to pass, including his much talked about warning in July of 2001 that the government would blame Osama bin Laden and the documented CIA asset al-Qaeda for the September 11, 2001, attacks in New York and Washington, D.C.
Other predictions range from the orchestrated propaganda campaign surrounding the hyping of the H1N1 virus, the presidential candidacy of Texas governor Rick Perry, the suicide-murder of the D.C. Madame, and the set-up and framing of the Hutaree militia.
All are covered in the visually engaging and hard-hitting videos that made it into the final selection.
