Jul 15, 2009 8:01 am ImpersonationPITTSBURGH (KDKA)
.
Penguins captain Sidney Crosby has become the latest celebrity to fall victim to online impersonation, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
A person used Crosby's likeness in a false effort to raise money for a Minnesota park.
The campaign was launched on MySpace and a message sent on Monday asked for help in raising $3,000 for Phelps Park in Minneapolis.
The message also said that in exchange for a donation, Crosby would send a game-used, autographed stick.
According to a Penguins spokesman, the request is completely bogus and that Crosby does not even have a MySpace page.
MySpace has since taken down the page.

Jul 15, 2009 7:56 am US/Eastern Grandson's 1st Birthday Bittersweet For Local Man McKEESPORT (KDKA/AP) ―
KDKA
For most grandparents, celebrating their grandchild's first birthday is a joyous occasion; but for a McKeesport man, the day will be bittersweet. It's also the first anniversary of his daughter's death.
Kia Johnson, 18, died last July when police say a Wilkinsburg woman cut the baby from her womb.
"Kia never came home and then I got a call from the coroner saying, my daughter's down there," Eric Johnson, Kia's father, tells KDKA-TV.
Andrea Curry-Demus, 40, is being held in a state mental hospital until a judge decides if she's competent to stand trial.
Investigators say Curry-Demus killed Johnson, cut her unborn baby from her womb, and kidnapped the newborn. They say she then took the baby to a hospital and claimed that she had just given birth to him.
Johnson has been raising the little boy ever since; and Terrell Kian Johnson will turn one-year-old today.
"I look his face and I see my daughter Kia," he said.
While Eric Johnson says he's planning a party for his grandson's big day, it's not going to be easy.
"I know she's up there watching now - I know she is," Johnson said of his slain daughter.
While Johnson waits for justice for his daughter, he said he's trying to focus on his grandson, named after Kia and the baby's father, who is serving a five- to 10-year sentence for robbery.
Kia's ashes rest in a butterfly covered urn on the mantel in the room where her son plays with his grandfather.
"But she's with me I carry her everyday in my angel," Johnson said.

Image: Senator Dianne Feinstein, Democrat of California, was among leaders critical of the secrecy of a counterterrorism program.
President Obama is facing new pressure to reverse himself and to ramp up investigations into the Bush-era security programs, despite the political risks.
Leading Democrats on Sunday demanded investigations of how a highly classified counterterrorism program was kept secret from the Congressional leadership on the orders of Vice President Dick Cheney.
Senator Dianne Feinstein, Democrat of California, who is the chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, on Fox News Sunday called it a “big problem.” Senator Richard J. Durbin, Democrat of Illinois, on “This Week” on ABC, agreed that the secrecy “could be illegal” and demanded an inquiry.
Mr. Obama said this weekend that he had asked his staff members to review the mass killing of prisoners in Afghanistan by local forces allied with the United States as it toppled the Taliban regime there. The New York Times reported Saturday that the Bush administration had blocked investigations of the matter.
Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. is also close to assigning a prosecutor to look into whether prisoners in the campaign against terrorism were tortured, officials disclosed on Saturday.
And after a report from five inspectors general about the National Security Agency’s domestic eavesdropping said on Friday that there had been a number of undisclosed surveillance programs during the Bush years, Democrats sought more information.
That makes four fronts on which the intelligence apparatus is under siege. It is just the kind of distraction from Mr. Obama’s domestic priorities — repairing the economy, revamping the health care system, and addressing the long-term problems of energy and climate — that the White House wanted to avoid.
A series of investigations could exacerbate partisan divisions in Congress, just as the Obama administration is trying to push through the president’s ambitious domestic plans and needs all the support it can muster.
“He wants to dominate the discussion, and he wants the discussion to be about his domestic agenda — health care, energy and education,” said Martha Joynt Kumar, a professor of political science at Towson University who studies the presidency.
The Bush national security controversies “are certainly a diversion from what he wants to do,” Professor Kumar said. “He wants to talk about the present and not the past.”
Professor Kumar said a president’s signature accomplishments often come in his first year in office, a pattern that Mr. Obama and his aides are keenly aware of. In addition, investigations at this time could open Mr. Obama up to accusations from Republicans that he is undercutting national security.
Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona, said on “Meet the Press” on NBC that despite his dismay at the Central Intelligence Agency’s past interrogation methods, including waterboarding, he opposed a criminal inquiry into torture, which he said would “harm our image throughout the world.”
“I agree with the president of the United States, it’s time to move forward and not go back,” Mr. McCain said.
* * * * * I agree with those who say we must investigate and possibly prosecute offenders in the Bush/Cheney Administration before we can move forward in reestablishing American's trust in government.
Do you think Obama be focusing only on solving the critical issues before him or should he include an investigation of the last Administration in accordance with his current efforts?http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/13/us/politics/13intel.html?emc=tnt&tntemail1=y... more

My name is Gérard Angé, This is my story about a nightmare I have been living for the last six years. At the time this all began, back in 2003, my businesses were moving forward and upward.
On (October 17, 2003),
One of my corporations, a start-up television network called WIN-Tv, after three years of
personal funding and hard work was just approved for first round funding for the sum
of $50 million dollars, from the same company that started A&E, MTV, Nickelodeon
and The Movie Channel. " This was a time for all of us to celebrate ! "
But, also on (October 17, 2003),
Without any warning... We were targeted by a corporation based in Pennsylvania, with
offices in Boston, Houston, Washington DC,Toronto Canada, London England, Shanghai
China. A Company I never known even existed, had their eye on something that I owned... and something they wanted. As we were about to find out, these people would stop at nothing to get what they wanted. Even if it meant theft, and destroying our business and my life, just to get what they wanted.
At the time I didn't have any idea of what was about to happen to me or, how it would
change my life forever.
THE SUPERIOR COURT OF CALIFORNIA FOR THE COUNTY OF ALAMEDA
Hearing Date: July 20, 2009
Time: 3:00 P.M.
Dept.: 512
Judge: John M. True III

UPDATE: JUDGE TRUE'S FINAL RULING:
After a six year attempt to recover our stolen property and stop the continuing on going retaliatory actions from a Corporation with self-described "DEEP GOVERNMENT CONNECTIONS". After $100,000.00 in legal fees in our search for justice and right to a trial under the law. Only to discover in the end, a "Surprise Substituted Judge" who replaced our Trial Judge, Judge Barbara Miller. It was from that point on that Justice was denied to us.
A series of quick odd rulings ending in a surprise hearing without our attorney present on June 10th 2009. Where Judge True III granting a ruling ( that Judge Miller denied ) that resulted in all our corporate case damages being thrown out on phony fabricated missing "Assignment of Claims" documents that were in fact... never missing at all.
http://www.slideshare.net/gerardange/strange-justice-official-court-transcripts-of-judge-john-true-iii-april-10-2009
The JULY 20th HEARING RESULTS:
Judge True followed through with his threat he made to us in June, and ruled to dismiss our case against the defendants. He explained that the reason he dismissed the case was because of his previous ruling on June 10, 2009: (When he moved forward to have a trial "without Plaintiff's attorney present"). Judge John M. True went on to say that because of his ruling on June 10th, that the Plaintiffs didn't have any damages or any case left to fight. He then ruled to dismissed all charges against the defendants. By doing that Judge John M. True III denied our Constitutional Right to a Trial.
AN ADDITIONAL ACTION: A MONETARY JUDGEMENT WILL BE GRANTED AGAINST US:
In a large file that was submitted to the Judge by the defendants on 7/20/09 (and not to us). Judge True then stated that; "He will be granting a judgement against us to pay for all the defendants legal expenses". (A figure after six years could very well be as high as $1 Million dollars.)
OUR FUTURE:
We are now seeking additional funding for an Appeal and for a complete formal investigation into the replacement of Judge Barbara Miller and the odd rulings and Judicial actions exhibited in the court by Judge John M. True III.
We were intentionally denied our right to a Trial and to Justice for the crimes that were committed against us. We not only ask for our Constitutional rights... We Demand them.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our pursuit for justice.

Image: Sundar Pichai, vice president for product management, said that Google’s free Chrome operating system would be fast and get users onto the Web in a few seconds.
If at times you’re frustrated with your PC — and who isn’t? — Google says it is working on a solution.
Many people easily lose patience with PCs that are slow to start up and prone to crashing, vulnerable to virus attacks and constantly in need of fiddly updates. Hoping to turn that irritation to its advantage, Google is developing an operating system — the underlying software that handles the most basic functions of a computer.
With the software, Google is mounting a blunt challenge to the dominance of Microsoft, whose Windows operating system runs about 95 percent of PCs. Google promises that its Chrome operating system, which will be available on computers in the second half of next year, will put an emphasis on speed, simplicity and security.
But if it gains traction, Google’s plan could undermine not only Windows but also Microsoft’s other multibillion-dollar franchise, Office. Google is trying to put the Web browser at the center of people’s digital lives, relegating complicated operating systems like Windows to a secondary role.
“We’re designing the OS to be fast and lightweight, to start up and get you onto the Web in a few seconds,” Sundar Pichai, a vice president for product management, and Linus Upson, an engineering director, said in a blog post announcing the project late Tuesday. “We hear a lot from our users and their message is clear — computers need to get better.”
The plan is part of Google’s bet that a huge shift in computing is under way. In Google’s view, Web connections will become so fast and browsers so powerful that most of the programs that currently run on PCs will be replaced by online applications. That would eliminate the need to install, upgrade and back up software.Image: Sundar Pichai, vice president for product management, said that Google’s... more
