The only thing keeping a "Rotten Tomatoes" feature from hitting the big screen is that Brett Erlich and Ellen Fox are true originals. OK, maybe that's not the only thing, but this look back at the year in movies vividly demonstrates Hollywood's fascination with the familiar. Fully half of 2010's top 10 movies (led by "Toy Story 3") were sequels, while even supposedly original movies seemed to share the same plot, such as "Despicable Me" and "Megamind" or the treacly trio of rom-coms "The Back-Up Plan," "The Switch" and "Life As We Know It." Brett and Ellen also make their predictions for 2011, including their take on the next "Twilight" film and a movie about ... Twitter?

Brett Erlich and Ellen Fox review "Biutiful," the latest film from director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu ("Babel," "21 Grams"). It stars the always-charismatic Javier Bardem as a Barcelona slum-dweller who's dying of cancer while also trying to deal with his estranged, bipolar wife (an excellent Maricel Alvarez), his kids and his various criminal enterprises. See whether Brett and Ellen find the film profound, or just too darn depressing

Brett Erlich and Ellen Fox review "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part I," the penultimate film in the Harry Potter series. It stars a now-familiar cast led by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. Relative-Potter-novice Ellen enjoyed it, while Potterphile Brett felt cheated that the final book in the series has been split into two films, of which this is the first.
