Google was born on the Web and is increasingly giving Microsoft fits by forcing the decades-old software giant to compete on Google's terms. Like open source. Like cloud computing.
Microsoft may shore up its fortunes in the short term with a successful Windows 7 launch. But in the long term, its very success with outdated "desktop" products threaten to cede the market to Google.
We'll have all of it, please
It's not really fair to Microsoft. Microsoft is a victim of its own success, needing to cater to its existing clientele with each new release, in true "Innovator's Dilemma" fashion. Hence, Microsoft continues to make a lot of money, but its last two quarters have seen traditional strengths like Windows become a drag on earnings as enterprises spend more money with Google, Red Hat, and others...Google was born on the Web and is increasingly giving Microsoft fits by forcing the... more
"What a HUNK! Notice me Charles....me...the girl through the screen...c'mon...you're staring right at me. UGH! You just missed me and caught sight of that Camilla woman. Shame. Now I'm doomed to be a nobody for the rest of my life and you get to play polo and have servants while I get to look for work and earn a pittance but pay 30% taxes so you can travel in a Bentley! BRILLIANT! Oh Charlie. It could have been us."

The 80’s are back but in a sleeker, chicer way than Zak or Kelly from “Saved By The Bell” ever worked it. See By Chloe has a great collection that will make you pay homage to the days of “The Lost Boys” and Rob Lowe except you’ll be looking 2009 and be yearning for the attention of Robert Pattinson and Orlando Bloom. This is a fab attempt recreating the old boho Sienna & the Kate Moss styles. I think she looks great, original & funky. She captures London style with unique things like a nutty vintage belt from Camden & killer boots that she got for a song (originally 400 bucks down to $100!). A tale of a girl and her magical tree whose petals gave her the feeling of winter in the spring for one week only---but it really gave her so much more than that. I always wanted to "see the light." To unearth the secret of piety and understand religion. But no matter how hard I've tried and closed my eyes to see God, when I open them again nothing is different. Someone once said to me, "God's light shines on you." Oh, if it were only true. I'd love to feel the warmth if it were so. But so often I feel cold and alone. These are not my eyes in the photo--but another young woman's. Maybe she is looking into the light of God. I hope so. I wish I could see this magic so many people believe.

And not have it be plagiarized, right? People think writers aren’t skilled. They think if THEY can write a sentence, then anyone can. WRONG. This piece is about writers, and why they are artists too. Our blogger talks about her work being stolen, not getting paid and even having people ask her to work for free! Well this piece is a dedication to all writers who have been shunned at the Academy Awards by actors who never thanked them (only the directors), ho have been underpaid for their labor, who have been cheated for their beautiful use of language and for those who think writing isn’t as equal an art form as painting or as difficult a craft as design or tech work.

She is a fun read and her blog is so eclectic, she always is coming up with something new (though “Fashion Fridays!” is a weekly staple).
This week is all about being a cocktail party girl! The look is subtle in color so she doesn’t upstage her host, but fantastic in cut with one outstanding piece so she can get the conversation going over a great martini (which the blogger even gives you a special recipe for). Kurt Geiger’s that have a platform that are dead sexy, an H&M skirt that is tres Carrie Bradshaw—the look is affordable, adorable and sleek all at the same time.

This beauty writer gives us insight into a must-have product from MAC that will make your eyes “killer.” She’s taken a piece she’s previously written from one of her magazine clips an inserted into this post just as a tongue and cheek piece. It’s short, fun, and is written military style (so you’d BETTER buy this product soldier!). Really cute, humorous and a great insider tip into a great product, another excellent blog post from One of 365.
