I always wanted to "see the light." To unearth the secret of piety and understand religion. But no matter how hard I've tried and closed my eyes to see God, when I open them again nothing is different. Someone once said to me, "God's light shines on you." Oh, if it were only true. I'd love to feel the warmth if it were so. But so often I feel cold and alone. These are not my eyes in the photo--but another young woman's. Maybe she is looking into the light of God. I hope so. I wish I could see this magic so many people believe.

Writer’s want to get paid for their work, no?
And not have it be plagiarized, right? People think writers aren’t skilled. They think if THEY can write a sentence, then anyone can. WRONG. This piece is about writers, and why they are artists too. Our blogger talks about her work being stolen, not getting paid and even having people ask her to work for free! Well this piece is a dedication to all writers who have been shunned at the Academy Awards by actors who never thanked them (only the directors), ho have been underpaid for their labor, who have been cheated for their beautiful use of language and for those who think writing isn’t as equal an art form as painting or as difficult a craft as design or tech work.

It’s “Fashion Friday’s!” from www.oneof365.com” This magazine editor has a fun and eclectic wardrobe that she wants to share with you. This week is all about being a Regal Russian (the uber trend Chanel has brought us)! The look is sensuous in fabrics and color. Chloe burgundy trousers to die for and a beaded Reiss jacket that is vintage chic.
Enjoy! Great pictures, very humorous, a poll to vote for your favorite piece and captions too! It’s “Fashion Friday’s!” from www.oneof365.com” This... more

Understanding the market potential and knowing what the entrepreneur and his team may be able to bring to the table, or what they may be hiding, is important to the development of sound investing strategies. A lot of fun because of the reader interaction and the humorous writing. She is a fun read and her blog is so eclectic, she always is coming up with something new (though “Fashion Fridays!” is a weekly staple).
This week is all about being a cocktail party girl! The look is subtle in color so she doesn’t upstage her host, but fantastic in cut with one outstanding piece so she can get the conversation going over a great martini (which the blogger even gives you a special recipe for). Kurt Geiger’s that have a platform that are dead sexy, an H&M skirt that is tres Carrie Bradshaw—the look is affordable, adorable and sleek all at the same time.
Enjoy! Great pictures, very humorous, a poll to vote for your favorite piece and captions too!

This beauty writer gives us insight into a must-have product from MAC that will make your eyes “killer.” She’s taken a piece she’s previously written from one of her magazine clips an inserted into this post just as a tongue and cheek piece. It’s short, fun, and is written military style (so you’d BETTER buy this product soldier!). Really cute, humorous and a great insider tip into a great product, another excellent blog post from One of 365.

Looks like an extensive Editorial beauty spread. Really fun and well-written, this is the writers forte.

Every Monday is the “Wish List,” a blog entry dedicated to one online shopping site where a dream outfit is compiled editorial style from the site. The blogger is a magazine editor so the page is like her dream editorial spread as if she had complete creative rights without any Editor cutting her off! She gives you a great history about the brand, a little story about the look she compiled and then picks the outfit based on the theme of the spread adding captions explaining each item she’s chosen. Really fun and unique. This week it’s the cutting edge label MARNI and she has chosen a to die for duster jacket that is a unique take on the trench (it almost looks hand painted), killer heels, 1950’s lingerie, and much, much more!

There’s nothing better than getting a pat on the back from your fellow blogger and One of 365 has done just that! She has been awarded “The Honest Scrap Award” an award passed down from blogger to blogger as a pay it forward opportunity to mention other fantastic blogs they enjoy and write 10 honest things about themselves so if you are a fan of the blogger whose won the award you can learn a bit more about them (which is always fun). A really fun page and a laid back, cool award that probably is very nice to receive given these bloggers are a community and it shows they embrace one another---not compete.

Have you ever wanted to go to the land where cheddar cheese originated from! Well, this is a humorous tale about the bloggers trip to Somerset, England where she and her English gent stop off in the middle of nowhere to try some tasty delights (I mean, Guinness flavored cheese!) and have a laugh at this bonkers little tourist attraction.
A really cute tale about rural England, a fun adventure and the UK’s version of Route 66’s nutty attractions.

Writing is one of the toughest crafts in the world. Everyone is a critic and your work is always subject to editorial changes and incorrect analysis. An author puts their heart and soul into a piece of work. But what do you do when an Editor tells you that you’ve put TOO much effort into something? That you tried TOO hard? In this piece a magazine writer submits a piece to an Editor and the feedback she gets is that her work is too good for the publication and she has to dumb it down. Gutted, the writer feels like she can’ win or get a break in this town because she’s been trying to get work forever!
Really tongue and cheek piece about the trials and tribulations about being a writer and working with an Editor. Humorous, truthful and well-written. Count Sheep. Spell the alphabet backwards. Eat cheese before bed. Any of these old wives tales sound familiar? If you’re an insomniac you’ll understand the following blog. It’s all about the hellish trials and tribulations of not being able to get a decent night’s shut-eye. It’s a humorous take on the matter, but the blogger is really distressed! Is it her mattress, her pillows!? A very tongue and cheek entry, she writes the blog entry during one of her insomniatic episodes.

Shopping is really fun when you don’t have to actually spend any money, right? This magazine editor has a bit of fun and does the online shopping for you as if she were going to the soiree herself, but sadly, can’t buy the pieces. But, maybe YOU can! Last week she rocked http://www.oneof365.com/category/qvc/ (and it was amazing if you can believe it!) and this week it’s Frenchconnection.com. The look is “artdeco/boho chic” and she’s picked out a glam look that’s sleek and sweet—perfect for night to day transition. She gives you a great excellent styling tips, and puts together an amazing outfit you can buy online right now. She has zero affiliation with any of the sites she “shops” from so this isn’t her hocking the goods, it’s just her having a bit of fun as a magazine editor.

For some reason, too many practitioners, and many/most consultants, think that if something is stated on the website, then all personnel magically, or by some type of mystical digital osmosis, know what it says and have actually read it.
That goes for the rarely-read-by-employees website privacy policy.
Most personnel don’t know what their website policy says because most get little to no awareness or training about privacy to begin with, and so most go along their merry way each day performing their job responsibilities in ways that violate that posted privacy policy!
Assuming all personnel know what the privacy policies even say = dumb dangerousnessFor some reason, too many practitioners, and many/most consultants, think that if... more
