In a society where gamers expected the latest in 3D graphics and technology, there stands one game that returns to the classic pixelated times of old, sorta. We were given the opportunity to experience 3D Dot Game Heroes in all its glory, and we we’re quite impressed to say the least. In a society where gamers expected the latest in 3D graphics and technology, there... more

You know, it’s a good thing we’re not surgeons in real life; patients would be dying left and right due to our gross negligence. Case in point with these videos for Atlus’ upcoming Trauma Team for Wii.
In this newest iteration on the Trauma Center series of “anime drama-meets-hospital drama”, rather than playing a single surgeon, you actually take control of an entire team of medical specialists: from the emergency first responders to diagnosticians to medical forensics experts.
Atlus has been trickling out these walkthrough videos for each branch of the team for a few weeks now, but we’ve been lagging behind in getting them up. See what we mean? If you were relying on us for emergency medical care, you’d have bled out by now!
So we’re going to start off with the most recent video, focusing on Orthopedics and then write you a referral to head through the link, where you can find the Endoscopy and Surgery videos, respectively. Just promise not to sue – our malpractice insurance isn’t paid up.

So it seems the folks over at Atlus have been watching a bit too much late night TV. At least, that’s what we have to assume after seeing this latest spot for 3D Dot Game Heroes.
After all, why else would they be offering “natural sword enhancement”? Unless they know something about gamers that none of us are willing to admit, that is?
…anyway, moving on!
Regardless of blade size (length or girth), I think it’s a pretty foregone conclusion that my first Dotnian hero will be named “Smilin’ Bob”.
Also, since we forgot to post these before, enjoy the first batch of localized 3D Dot Game Heroes screens through the link. The game is due on May 11th for PlayStation 3.

Man, I’m dealing with a wicked nasty case of déjà vu here. I just can’t quite put my finger on why this announcement trailer for 3D Dot Game Heroes feels so familiar.
Maybe it’s something about the orange boulders bouncing down that mountainside. Or perhaps the visual at around :40 of the shield-wielding hero holding his sword aloft. Or maybe it’s that haunting 8-bit flute melody – the tune is so familiar; so much like something I feel like I should know.
I can’t quite nail it down, but I have a feeling this game is going to be epic. In fact, dare I say… legendary?
