Bungie and Microsoft have announced that Halo: Reach will be receiving its first round of DLC next month. Available on November 30th, the Noble Map Pack will be available for purchase on Xbox Live Marketplace for 800 MSP or around $10.
The pack will contain three new online multiplayer maps: Tempest, Anchor 9 and Breakpoint.

The fine folks at Bungie and Microsoft have generously provided us with a brand new, shiny, spiffy early entry key for the Halo: Reach multiplayer beta. For those of you who don’t know, the beta starts on Monday, May 3rd for those who have a copy of Halo 3: ODST, but early entry codes have been flitting around the interwebs for the last day or so, rare as unicorn tears. Well, never let it be said that we here at CFD! don’t love you guys out there, okay?

Leave it to Bungie to kick off their newest video documentary on Halo: Reach’s multiplayer the right way.
The first sight to greet you is none other than former Kotaku/1UP alum, arch-nemesis of Shane Bettenhausen on the classic 1UP Yours podcast, and Scarab Lord extraordinaire, Luke Smith. Now serving as a designer on Reach, Lukems and the rest of the team (including the glorious beard of designer Sage Merrill!) take us through what they feel makes the multiplayer so compelling.

Well the leaks for big games seem to have spread, first we got some new footage of God of War 3 and now we have a new trailer for Halo: Reach. This video comes via a Taiwanese website and features assassinations, new weapons and a few of new game modes. Could this be the multiplayer bomb Bungie have been hyping up or do they have something else in the Halo locker for us to see?. This afternoon brought news of an apparent leak out of a Microsoft HQ play session of Bungie’s closely-guarded new game, Halo: Reach. MLG.com forum poster ToM MoReLLo provided several screenshots for internet consumption, claiming that he “[...] played the game at a Microsoft HQ btw in a office,” putting to rest my own fears that the game was being played in a brothel.
While the validity of these images cannot be confirmed, it appears that Halo: Reach will indeed introduce squad-based gameplay to the series. Several new weapons can be observed and a few old favorites are present as well.

Superannutation has discovered and posted a link to a July 17 US Patent and Trademark Office filing by Microsoft for the term "343 Industries" for use with "computer programs, namely, game software for use on computers and video." Other than Microsoft's address and attorney of record, no other information was given.
Now the number "343" might seem nothing to gamers, but it does has major significance to fans of the Halo series because it is the name of 343 Guilty Spark, one of the series' most humorous, enigmatic, and ultimately lethal foes. The character is an artificial intelligence housed inside a a powerful metal shell built by the Forerunner race which constructed the game's titular ringworlds, 343 was worshipped as "The Oracle" by the Covenant.
343 Industries sounds less like a game and more like a label, which would be perfectly for the internal division of Microsoft Game Studios dedicated to the Halo franchise. The group, which currently has no distinct title, has drawn some notable names to its ranks, including former Kojima Productions producer Ryan Payton and Bungie alum Frank O'Connor.
