Welcome to a very special midweek peek at the end of the week. Of course, we'll be a bit pre-occupied tomorrow with things like turkey and turkey and possibly reuniting with good friends like T. Urkey.
But before that, you don't want to spend all day in the kitchen. You want to get out and see some movies. We know what's on DVD, but what's in theaters?
-Ninja Assassin is about Korean pop star Rain, his abs and a large amount of CGI blood.
-The Road is the post-apocalyptic survival story from Cormac McCarthy, directed by John Hillcoat and scored by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis.
-Old Dogs is apparently painful. Like, Best Worst Movie Ever Why Was This Made God Why painful.
If you see those three movies, you should submit a webcam review for The Rotten Tomatoes Show by Sunday at midnight. You could get $100 and TV glory.
So what else is out there for you tomorrow?
-The Princess and the Frog is out in New York and Burbank in a special three-and-a-half hour spectacle that's a bit pricey.
-Me and Orson Wells is the latest from Richard Linklater in limited release involving Zac Efron and Claire Danes.
-The Private Lives of Pippa Lee , from Rebecca Miller, is also in limited and follows a devoted housewife who has a whole bunch of soul-searching. And Alan Arkin.

Okay, this picture isn’t what it looks like….nevermind…it’s EXACTLY what it looks like.
A while back, interviewed Rain from that movie, “Ninja Assassin” and it just so happened that we were doing a ninja-esque photoshoot for Academy of Art University’s One Eighty Magazine (BTW- I’m editor at large of the mag…and I’m an instructor there – did that sound pretentious?) – but it didn’t involve me. It was a lot more high-brow and conceptual than what I did.
Anyways, afterward, we had some time and Daryn Labier, the photographer, busted out a sword (which the director of refused to use in the real shoot) and I just wrapped my scarf around my face and embodied the role of the most dapper ninja ever known to man. Daryn snapped some AWESOME frames of me. This is just one of many.
I think I may have a new career as a ninja/model.
Check out my chat with Rain: http://blog.dinoray.com/2009/11/24/rain-is-a-nice-ninja-assassin/Okay, this picture isn’t what it looks like….nevermind…it’s... more

A tale as old as time: boy abandoned by parents. Boy trains under secret ninja school. Boy becomes an assassin. Boy is betrayed by his secret ninja school. Boy, now a Man, faces secret ninja school to save a woman's life.
Then there are slow-motion fights through fire!
Ninja Assassin stars K-Pop idol Rain, produced by Joel Silver and the Wachowski Brothers and directed by James McTeigue ("V for Vendetta" and 2nd Unit on other Wachowski films.)
Call me crazy, but I could swear that they had some SFX from Mortal Kombat. Oh well, on November 25th we'll find out if Ninjas are still cool.A tale as old as time: boy abandoned by parents. Boy trains under secret ninja school.... more
