Fear not, East Coasters! We too are getting our chance to see Ponyo, and it's coming rather soon. For all of you living in the New York Area, the New York International Children's Film Festival is hosting the East Coast premiere of Miyazaki's Ponyo on Sunday, August 9th at 3:00pm.
You can wait for the theatrical release on August 14th, but why bother with that? Especially when our friends at New York|Tokyo are giving away five free tickets to see the screening. Just enter into their raffle and you may win tickets for yourself and a guest (if you want to bring anyone along.)

We'll see if I can manage to snag some tickets from Symphony Space, over on Broadway and West 94th St. at 2537 Broadway. Any of you planning on going?Fear not, East Coasters!
