Steve Jobs recently announced the new guidelines for Apple's app store, where he declared "We don't need any more fart apps" for the iPad or iPhone. Are there enough fart apps in the app store now to get you by? In this web extra, Ben Hoffman takes a listen to EVERY fart app available. Tune in to this week's episode of the Webby-nominated infoMania Tech Report to see him really test them all and figure out which is right for you.
The infoMania Tech Report is a weekly segment where technology guru Ben Hoffman takes a look at the newest tech products, gadgets and video games. It has been called "the funniest tech show on the web." (No source for that quote is available at this time. In fact, there's a good chance it was made up.) For more Ben visit http://current.com/techreport/ and Current TV.

Want to report the news and not get paid for it? Like to see adverts whilst doing so? Well, CNN have got an iPhone app that you'll love.
The iReport app lets you easily send the news network photos of stuff you've captured on your iPhone's rather useless camera. On the newest model you can even send in video clips. Of course, if you're nowhere near a WiFi hotspot this will take ages and possibly cost you a small fortune.

Basically it's a mobile website that asks visitors questions based on an I'll have to quote this as it's not er, my field of expertise... "the cognitive therapy approach to counselling and attempts to evaluate the degree and kind of depression they might be suffering from."
As you can see from the picture, my phone is a little down today. Well tough tomatoes, Mr Phone, I can't speak (nor read) a word of Japanese!Okay, I'm stretching the truth there a bit - it's not an application and... more

Apple aren't the only ones with weird and wonderful apps for their phones, here's 'I Parked Here' for "most" Nokia mobiles.
Not having a car, nor 3 squid to spare, I've yet to try it but it promises to accurately record where you parked regardless of whether you've got a GPS fix (which can be quite cumbersome, especially in an underground car park!) or not.
From the developer:
'With I Parked Here, you ’ll never forget where you parked. I Parked Here will remember your parking place with a simple tap or click – and without waiting for a GPS fix. Press “Find my car” and get directions to your car with turn by turn navigation. View your parking place on various maps. Add a parking meter alar m and ensure you avoid parking tickets. I Parked Here is extremely easy to use. Never again will you find yourself scratching your head in public wondering “where is my car?”.'Apple aren't the only ones with weird and wonderful apps for their phones,... more
