Whenever any host on MS-NBC refers to critics of Barack Obama as racist, just keep this link handy. Chris Matthews offers up this revealing non-sequitur as praise for Obama’s “appearance” of post-racial qualities in a manner that echoes Harry Reid’s strange praise revealed in the book Game Change. I’ve puzzled over this comment since I saw in on Twitter last night in the aftermath of the State of the Union address. Exactly what does it mean that Matthews “forgot he was black” in connection to his praise of Obama’s leadership?

A strange turn of events took place last night in Virginia shortly after President Obama's State of the Union Address. Our greatest fears were revealed after Virginian Governor Bob McDonnell's GOP rebuttal shocked the world. His ignorance was not the cause of the disturbing revelation but rather the heat produced by dozens of camera lights. The boiling spotlights melted away the new face of the republican party to reveal a highly sophisticated android. Chaos ensued as the machine began unloading rounds into the crowd, dispersing the on-lookers. 35 were left dead, as the terminator -like robot fled the scene. He still remains at large. Authorities have refused to comment as the American public remains baffled. The speech presented by, then known Governor McDonnell, befuddled many analysts who jokingly discribed the rebuttle as "robotic.... it was like they didn't even listen to Obama's speech. Like they preprogrammed a stage production," says one analyst. The fears created by these new insights, have led the American people to believe these dangerous killer robots could have infiltrated all of the republican party and perhaps all government offices. Politician Bob McDonnell is the front runner in Virginia's gubernatorial race. Reuters reports that he's opened up a 17 point lead over his opponent, Creigh Deeds.
Based on McDonnell's thesis which he wrote for his masters degree from televangelist Pat Robertson's law school, McDonnell thinks it's a good idea for the state to regulate the sex lives of its citizens.
On pages seven and eight of his thesis McDonnell wrote complaining about "radical individualism" of Americans and lamented the fact that the court case of Griswold v. Connecticut "postulated a new view of marriage by asserting that the 'preservation of marital privacy' precludes state interference with the right to use contraceptives, even though the state had long been empowered to regulate the legal and sexual relationships of marriage."
It's common knowledge that politicians from both political parties say what they think you want to hear. Once in office they do what their handlers with the cash want, not what the voters want or what America needs. Following this rule of politicians, McDonnell is trying to distance himself from his thesis and the anti-freedom/anti-individualism dogma his thesis promotes, knowing full well that Americans don't want the government regulating their sex lives.
The Washington Post reports that when McDonnell was in the Virginia General Assembly he tried to push through 10 of his policy goals that are in his thesis. This is in line with the goal of the Christian Reconstructionists which is to subvert the American government and change it from a Constitutional government to a theocracy based on the Bible.
Many people who believe the Bible to be the word of God have never actually read it for themselves. If they did, they would know that there are many unAmerican and unnatural teachings in the Bible. For example, how do you feel about slavery? The Bible does not condemn nor outlaw slavery. One restriction it does put on Hebrews who own slaves is that it requires them to free their Hebrew slaves after six years of bondage. However, the Hebrews are permitted to keep Gentile slaves “for ever” and to pass them on to their children. (Leviticus 25:39-46) If the Christian Reconstructionists do succeed in turning America and the world into a giant Bible-based theocracy, will they allow the Jews to keep Christians and other Gentiles as slaves “for ever”?Politician Bob McDonnell is the front runner in Virginia's gubernatorial race.... more

Bob McDonnell, the Republican candidate for governor of Virginia wrote a thesis when he was in college that is haunting candidate McDonnell. In it he wrote, "every level of government should statutorily and procedurally prefer married couples over cohabitators, homosexuals or fornicators," adding, "The cost of sin should fall on the sinner, not the taxpayer."
He also equated homosexuality to drug abuse and pornography and wrote, "the government must restrain, punish, and deter."
He wrote feminism was the "real enemy of the traditional family."
He wrote the thesis in 1989 when he was 34, but do people really change that much when they start out as such narrow minded hateful people? McDonnell is trying to make the argument that his views are being used against him. He wants to the public to see him as the victim. Sorry, Bob, I'm not convinced you're that much different.
