Ahead of his first solo release in over fifteen years Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues is interviewed by Sammy Sultan.
Hayward describes a 'bounce back' effect that occurs from one nation to another. A tour with the band Canned Heat brought him to working America. Having popularity in America bounced back to Britain where he had started. This describes to me the effects of music trends that I see traveling in waves that circle the world.
Spirits of the Western Sky is a personal look into Hayward's world which is a labor of love. "Wherever I go I love to have a view of the western sky". A look into the sunset Hayward finds a magic knowing that one day he would travel from Britain to America.
