I take a deep breath. I swallow hard. My ears feel like they haven’t popped yet, as if I’ve just arrived by plane and the descent was much too quick. The edges of my ears tingle with the prickling of needles. An army of them march to the top of my skull, where they dissolve beneath my thinning hair. Wave after wave of needles sweep over my brain, the prickling so intense, it becomes an electrocution.I take a deep breath. I swallow hard. My ears feel like they haven’t popped yet,... more

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), who calls herself “a high-value target for the Democrats,” says that President Barack Obama is a “health care dictator” because his administration is mandating that all insurance plans cover contraception for women.
In a recent interview with PolitiChicks, the former Republican presidential candidate told Ann-Marie Murrell that the eventual GOP nominee would be “1000 percent” better than Obama, no matter who that person was.
“We can’t let Obama have a second term,” she warned. “Not because it’s partisan, not because it’s the Republican team versus the Democrat team, but because we are about a better America and we’re about liberty and we’re about a decent chance for the future.”
“I think the number one threat right now is that under Obamacare, we literally are seeing a change in government for the first time in 225 years,” Bachmann explained. “This is the first time that we are moving truly away from a constitutional republic — slamming the door shut on a constitutional republic — and effectively we’re becoming a dictatorship in that we don’t elect a president anymore, we elect a health care dictator, who we saw with Barack Obama with contraceptives.”
“If you look at this issue, it wasn’t just about contraceptives. It was about the fact that now the president of the United States can order all Americans to purchase a product or service against their will whether they want it or not. And he can decide which product or service will be offered and at what price. That’s unbelievable!”
Bachmann added that Obama had been “more dangerous than any other president” because of his foreign policy.
“We’re seeing a hyperkinetic level of level of terrorist activity and Barack Obama has a lot to do with that,” she said, cautioning of the threat of Iranian weaponry “penetrating our southern border.”
“Even today, the president of the United States is calling for reducing our nuclear weaponry by 80 percent,” Bachmann noted. “OK, now think of this: We have Iran, a third-world basket case, trying to nuke up.”
The Minnesota congresswoman went on to plead with viewers to give her re-election campaign the maximum contribution because she had been “the number one target of [House Minority Leader] Nancy Pelosi to defeat.”
“I am a high-value target for the Democrats,” she remarked. “This race unfortunately will be no different. … I need all of your viewers to give the very best donation that they can give — and I think the maximum is about $2,500 per person.”

A "walk down memory lane" as to how the Tea Party and their spokespersons view Democrats and the Democratic Party.
And we have so much more to look forward to next year as the rhetoric will be turned up to a fever pitch from the rightwingers and the Republican Party.

There's a lot of rumination over Occupy Wall Street and its growing raft of branch offices. Depending on your rhetoric, The Occupiers are doing righteous battle with corporate greedheads and associated serfs. The right sees them as a gold brickers who want to lynch Fortune 500 CEOs, crooked politicians, and their assorted Tea Partyish fellow travelers. It doesn't matter if a person's perception is right or wrong, it only matters they have it.There's a lot of rumination over Occupy Wall Street and its growing raft of... more

http://goo.gl/G972l -- A virus has taken hold within the modern conservative movement. No one knows for sure what has caused this plague but many believe it is transmitted through close contact at boisterous tea parties. The most obvious, visible symptom is the incessant need to refer to oneself as a "constitutional conservative."http://goo.gl/G972l -- A virus has taken hold within the modern conservative movement.... more

This is serious, major and should not be overlooked. After the last Republican debate, which I watched all of on Youtube, I was more frightened then ever. I felt after they booed the gay soldier, and then no candidate on stage come to his defensem that if they were in the same room as him I would feel for his safety. It's very frightening to hear people be cheered on stage splurging out such hateful remarks and fascist principals that we fought against during world war II.
Scroll down to the section on "Core Tenets" in the wiki article. Let me quote some of the most troubling.
Abortion, eugenics and euthanasia
"The Fascist government in Italy banned literature on birth control and increased penalties for abortion in 1926, declaring both crimes against the state.[170] The Nazis decriminalized abortion in cases where fetuses had hereditary defects or were of a race the government disapproved of, while the abortion of healthy "pure" German, "Aryan" fetuses remained strictly forbidden.[171] For non-Aryans, abortion was often compelled. Their eugenics program also stemmed from the "progressive biomedical model" of Weimar Germany.-----"
^-- one of the biggest fights ideas in the Tea party
Culture, sex and sexuality
"-----Fascist movements and governments opposed homosexuality. The Italian Fascist government declared it illegal in 1931.[190] The Nazis argued that homosexuality was degenerate, effeminate, perverted, and undermined masculinity because it did not produce children.[191] They considered homosexuality curable through therapy, citing modern scientism and the study of sexology, which said that homosexuality could be felt by "normal" people and not just an abnormal minority.[192] Critics have claimed that the Nazis' claim of scientific reasons behind their promotion of racism and hostility to homosexuals is pseudoscience.[193][194] Open homosexuals were among those interned in Nazi concentration camps.[195] The British Union of Fascists opposed homosexuality, and pejoratively questioned their opponents' heterosexuality.[196] The Romanian Iron Guard opposed homosexuality as undermining society.[197]"
^--- As seen at the last Republican debate by the booing of the crowd to the gay soldiers question.
If you read through the article and compare Side by Side the views of the "Tea party" and the way the republicans are being forced to lean the trend is becomming more and more obvious.
We need to fight this now. We can not sit here idly by and let this happen, fascism should not be allowed to grow this freely. We have to rise up and put an end to this before they take control of the government. Even Moderate Republicans can see the trend. We have to fight this or I fear for our country in 2012 when the tea party takes the House/Senate/Presidency.

Former President Bill Clinton blasted the “non-fact-based political debate” surrounding the Republican primary race and Tea Party economic policies which advocate for limited government services and low taxation.
Clinton, who met with a small group of bloggers on the sidelines of the Clinton Global Initiative’s annual meeting in New York City today, responded to a question from ThinkProgress about Texas Gov., and GOP presidential frontrunner, Rick Perry’s position that Social Security is unconstitutional, and about the Tea Party’s anti-social spending sentiment more generally. Clinton blamed the “continuing dominance of non-fact based political debate,” saying:
"You can stand up and say anything and nobody rings a bell if the facts are wrong. There’s no bell ringing. It’s crazy, we’re living in a time when it’s more important than ever to know things. And not just to know facts but to put them in a coherent. sensible pattern. And we live in a time, if you just want to talk about the economy, where the model that works for economic growth and prosperity is cooperation. But the model that works in politics is conflict."
Clinton went on to challenge the emerging GOP consensus that government size and spending require dramatic cuts, observing that the most prosperous parts of the U.S. “look nothing like the anti-government ideal of the Tea Party crowd”:
"You know, there’s not a single solitary example on the planet, not one, of a country that is succesful because the economy has triumphed over the government and choked it off and driven the tax rates to zero, driven the regulations to nonexistent and abolished all government programs, except for defense, so people in my income group never have to pay a nickel to see a cow jump over the moon. There is no example example of a succesful country that looks like that."
While blasting the Tea Party’s economic policies, Clinton also acknowledged that the media plays an increasingly dangerous role in fanning the flames of partisan rancor.Former President Bill Clinton blasted the “non-fact-based political... more

Once the dust settles on last week's debt ceiling debacle it will be painfully obvious even for those tea party believers that all of us 'peons' are being slowly, and sytematically marched to our financial demise.
The professional political operatives behind the Tea Party movement were huge winners, but what about the rank-and-file Tea Partiers themselves?
The conventional wisdom holds that the Tea Partiers were among the “winners” of the debt ceiling fight. We know this because the Washington Post, that font of Beltway conventional wisdom, told us as much:
There were major questions coming into the 112th Congress about who would blink first — the largely establishment-aligned leaders of the new Republican House majority or the tea-party-aligned freshman members. We got our answer to that question late Thursday as House Speaker John Boehner was forced not only to postpone his compromise bill but ultimately to add conservative sweeteners to get the 217 votes he needed. (He got 218.) The tea party — inside and outside Congress — will almost certainly be emboldened by the result of this fight.
