Yesterday I. Write posted his first video blog on online. As part of his new online marketing platform to promote his new project "Star War" (the new concept album dervied from the Star Wars film saga). I. Write spoke on various topics from new artist Bob Chin and Xiren to the theft of his wallet last week. No pun intended! What was curiously not discussed by the current hip hop mini-mogul was the apparent success of his barely promoted last project "Whatevers Necessary". When asked about it I. Write just said, "I honestly forgot about it. We have some much going on between our new online endevours and this last single we just dropped that I haven't even had time to think about. I'm glad people are still out there buying it. It shows me my fan base is growing. Maybe I will shoot a few links out to the album tonight on Twitter. Who knows."Yesterday I. Popular Music Inc. and Tunecore have just come to an agreement regarding Popular Music's latest digital distribution model. The pair will leverage the distribution strength of Tunecore and the licensing expertise of Popular Music to create a multi-dimensional music management service for independent artist world wide. When asked about the venture I. Write commented with "Artist will save time. It takes years for independent artist to learn licensing, distribution and content management. That's the big difference between indies and majors except they aren't giving out any helpful hints and there's no artist development anymore. Once this move is operational why would anyone go anywhere else. Everything you need to compete is here. Plus we have a few extra tricks up our sleeve too."

What Label recording artist and Popular Music President announced on Friday, March 5, 2010 that he will be releasing a series of viral videos to promote his first single "Terror".
I. Write went into details by stating;
"Its hard for any independent artist to compete against the majors when they have all the resources. But, where they don't give us a lot of credit is in our creativity and that's where their weakness lies. I have always been an artist and an owner so at the end of the day I see it and study it all, so nothing gets past me. I wanted to compete. Terror, Whatevers Necessary, and Popular Music all compete. these videos are just my way of making lemonade. I guarantee it going to be like watching CSI or Law and Order, or Grey's Anatomy for that matter. Your going to want to see it. People are going to watch it. then play the single Terror, then buy Whatevers Necessary. And when its all said and done, ultimately your going to make the decision as to the outcome of not only the characters, but my life. I feel that strongly about the music, that strongly about the label. Just because you spend a million dollar doesn't mean your gonna sell a million records. We can compete. I. Write will make the Billboard Charts. Whatevers Necessary will be received well and sell well. You just have to have a great idea, great music and lots of support. It's no surprise that rising hip hop phenom I. Write has been engaged in an uphill battle trying to secure funding for his latest project "Whatevers Necessary". The project had originally been stalled because negotiations between I. Write and a certain major label were at a stand still due to the parties not agreeing to several distribution and marketing concerns. So it also comes as no surprise that the over zealous rapper prematurely released a mixtape version of the album entitled "Whatevers Necessary" The Black Market Vol. 1. Rapper I. Write was spotted catching a bite to eat with agent Kiley Brown late night on Feb 17. The two visited Pizano's restaurant in the south loop of Chicago's downtown area. I. Write met with Brown for a meeting of the minds while finalizing last minute details for the Hip Hop star's album release. I've reviewed mixtapes. I've reviewed albums. I've even scanned a few independent artist singles just for kicks. But, when I tell you I've been sleeping, I must have been comatose. Yesterday I got an album via email called Whatevers Necessary. My immediate skepticism lead me to delay even opening it cause I get so much bullshit to review. Needless to say, about 3pm I open up the zip to check it out. Worst case scenario I just chuck the joint in the recycle bin and go back to my chicken nuggets. Anyway, I press play and the first thing I thought was damn. I knew HOV had some kids! The intro was to say the least off the Richter. Next thing I know my fries are cold my coke is gone and I'm still thinking the same thing. This is a double disc? 18 tracks? Who the F!*k is I. Write and where has he been. Question is still unanswered. So I scroll through the credits and see KC Da BeatSmith on like 60% of the production credits and I'm like "Leanin and Tore Up". This guy is beast. Who the hell is he? You know what? This is what I will do. KC, if you're ever in DC get at me. Whatevers Necessary was the best thing ever happened to me on a dry ass Wednesday. Go cop that shit.
