If throwing shoes and bottles is something you don't fancy, then why not quietly form a mini protest which only needs you to move a book. This is exactly what one Facebook page is doing with the group “Subversively move Tony Blair's memoirs to the crime section in book shops".
The Facebook group now holds over 7,000 members and there are a number of pictures being posted of the books moves. http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=150746811621277&ref=ts
"This is a peaceful and mischievous way of making your point if you feel the same way. It’s a non-violent display of anger using the materials given to me – his book and the crime section – they're both there, I just put them together. [...]"No crime section at Tesco’s so I’ve put them with the wet wipes ... got quite a kick out of this." "-Telegraph
From reading the article, it sounds like this little rebellious act is being quite therapeutic for a number of disgruntled voters. If throwing shoes and bottles is something you don't fancy, then why not quietly... more

There's been a number of stories around the release of Blair's book The Journey, and last night saw the former PM interviewed by Marr (though any politics fans might have found themselves flicking between that and the Labour leadership debate on 4).
An article in the New Statesman looks at the chapters which discuss the Iraq war and the controversy over the WMD issue. The article mainly accuses the chapters are misleading or fail to take account of other reports. It carried this out but taking quotes and then supplying alternative information or views.
"I can say that never did I guess the nightmare that unfolded, and that too is part of the responsibility"-TB
Never did you guess? But why did you have to "guess"? Six of the country's top academic experts on Iraq and international security warned TB, in a face-to-face meeting in November 2002, that the consequences of an invasion could be catastrophic"-New StatemanThere's been a number of stories around the release of Blair's book The... more

This short film is part of "The Journey" an unique documentary project that delves into environmental, socio-culture and economic issues, with a questioning mind.
The focus of the project is to find and film inspiring ideas and projects over a wide spectrum of individuals and cultures, whilst examining our ability to reform our ideals, and our lifestyle in order to make positive changes for our planet and the human race.
The Journeymen (a person whom travels in order to gain experience, skills and knowledge) go in search of these stories - equipped only with minimal filming gear and personal possessions, they document their experience as they travel to global communities to observe, question and learn.
It is an organic process that grows, evolves and takes its own direction. With no planned route nor destination, the journeymen believe they will connect with the right people and places at the right time to film, aid and guide them on.
The project is currently filming and traveling through the UK. As the project travels short films are uploaded that can be viewed on this website. It is the long-term goal that this project will travel internationally to create a feature length film that will be released, to be viewed for free.
The projects aims to benefit individuals, projects and communities by sharing knowledge, offering solutions and connecting people through film.
It is the hope this project will touch and inspire people, by conveying the beauty within human nature and our world and resonating what is actually possible, when it comes it comes to our ability to change the world for the better.

Started in 1962, The Park is a 30-acre site that was once a caravan park (part of it still is!) but now is the hub of a growing ecovillage and spiritual community. Park is a work in progress, as each year more caravans are replaced with ecologically sound alternatives, from yurts, to eco-mobile homes, to state of the art projects such as straw bale housing. There are approximtately 300 residents living on The Park, with up to 100 more people visiting at any time.
The environment reflects experimentation, innovation, beauty and practicality, and looks as diverse as the population that inhabits it. There are 90 ecological structures including houses, workshop spaces, The Living Machine sewage treatment centre and electricity-generating wind turbines. The Park also features gardens, the Universal Hall arts centre and is home to a variety of holistic businesses and initiaives. It is beautifully situated on a peninsula with Findhorn Bay on one side and the dunes and coast of the Moray Firth on the other, and the village of Findhorn at its tip.
The community at The Park is an ongoing experiment in conscious living. The community are host to many Findhorn Foundation workshops and events, providing a unique environment for experiential learning.

Trees for Life is the only organization specifically dedicated to restoring the Caledonian Forest to a target area of 600 sq miles in the Scottish Highlands. They work in partnership with the Forestry Commission, RSPB and private landowners, and own and manage the 10,000 acre Dundreggan Estate.
Each year they run over 45 Conservation Work Weeks. Hundreds of volunteers join us annually in planting over 100,000 trees in protected areas, and carry out other restoration work such as seed collection and propagation of young trees and rare woodland plants. The organization is responsible for having planted over 800,000 trees since 1989.

Welcome to The Roundhouse, it is an ecohome of wood frame, cobwood and recycled window walls, with a straw-insulated turf roof.
The roundhouse was built with sustainable strategies whilst minimizing the environmental impact on the land.
Life in the roundhouse still provides the modern comforts, but in a home that costs very little to live in and is kind on its surrounding environment.
