One month ago I discovered Jennifer Rexford, a BP Oil Spill Clean-up worker, documenting her work related illness on Youtube. I watched every single one of her videos, which had 14 views at the time. I posted one of Jennifer's videos on Current (http://current.com/news/93090046_thousands-of-gulf-oil-spill-clean-up-crew-are-d...) which ended up getting 100,788 views here, over 200 comments, 7,500 likes on Facebook. Thank you Current for spreading the word. But the issue is NOT OVER.
I am now in D.C. covering the Power Shift Clean Energy Conference which includes a massive rally at the White House today. Thousands of activists will be demanding that the White House end their ties with Big Polluters that our destroying our Democracy, our air, water and our livelihood.
Here is a video report and interview I conducted with Jennifer Rexford that explains the BP Oil Spill disaster and Health Crisis, the BP Plague. As we approach the one year anniversary on Wednesday, April 20th, 2011, I URGE everyone to spread the word about the BP Plague. Tweet this video with #bpPlague.
We, the people, must be the voice for the Gulf Coast residents. We, the people, must shut down the beaches until a real investigation takes place. BP can not be the one to run their own investigtion. Be the voice of the people. Spread this video.
More videos to come. More evidence to come. The BP Plague is real. The BP oil spill is not over. Thousands of people are sick and dying. BP must pay for the medical treatment. BP must be held accountable. I have more testimonials from D.C. this weekend. Coming soon. But I am off to cover the rally.

Sincerely,
A compassionate citizen of Planet Earth.

BP today insisted that the rig explosion that triggered the massive oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico was down to "multiple failures".
An investigation carried out by BP said it was responsible in part for the disaster but it also blamed other companies (US contractors Halliburton and Transocean) who were working on the well.
To date, BP has been forced to pay out £13billion in compensation and has profusely apologised in a series of TV ads for their part.
A BP-led investigation, however, now says the cement work carried out on the well with Halliburton wasn't good enough. BP then blamed Transocean rig crew for failing to spot a build-up of gas in the well before it exploded on April 20th.
11 rig workers lost their lives in the incident and roughly five million barrels of crude oil poured into the ocean before BP finally managed to cap the well in July.

“MARS!” is a very thought-provoking animated short by Joe Bichard and Jack Cunningham, which tells the now painfully common tale of one species colonizing another and sucking its resources dry. This poignant environmental message shows the perils of utilizing a planet’s resources with absolutely no regard for nature and wildlife. “MARS!” can’t help but evoke clear connections to British Petroleum’s ongoing, catastrophic Louisiana oil spill that’s devastating the southern Gulf Coast. This is what we’re actually doing to our own planet!
This piece includes colorful illustrations and the engaging animated short, “MARS!”
