Results of the 2010 census are being made public today, Tuesday 21 December 2010. If you’re a GOPer or Tea Partier you will likely be giddy at the notion of the offing of a new Dark Ages. For some of us this will be a reminder of just why the Founders feared and did not stand-up a democracy. Results of the 2010 census are being made public today, Tuesday 21 December 2010. If... more
In the mid 1970’s Abelardo Valdez, Jimmy Carter’s USAID Assistant Administrator for Latin America and the Caribbean wrote a report on Mexico’s economic/industrial status. In that report it was stated that at that time the vast majority (three-quarters) of Mexico’s industry was comprised of American-based transnational corporations. It makes sense. And oh by the way, I can’t see that percentage being smaller today.
Through my studies of history, political science and unconventional war it has become clear that Euro Anglo Israelis are a potent force on the entire Western Hemisphere and of course the world. In the mid 1970’s Abelardo Valdez, Jimmy Carter’s USAID Assistant... more
It is just amazing to me that with a temple on almost every corner Texas Red is such a “hang ‘em high” state.
San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas sends a disproportionate number of its defendants to Death Row. Combined Hispanics and African-Americans comprise 7 out of 10 Texas Red prison-industrial complex inmates on Death Row. That’s a staggering---7 of 10 inmates on Death Row. Hispanics comprise 14% of the general population but almost 30% of the prison population. African-Americans 13% of the general population and almost forty (38.8 %) percent of the prison population. It is just amazing to me that with a temple on almost every corner Texas Red is such a... more
It likely is of little surprise that while none of San Antonio, Bexar County’s, 16 apartheid public education school districts earned five stars “in the Financial Allocation Study for Texas, or FAST, report of those that scored respectably all but one is on San Antonio’s North Side.
The study, released last Wednesday by Comptroller Susan Combs, rates Texas districts on a scale of one to five relative to their “fiscal peers.” Three of four districts earning 3.5 stars are located on the northside.
San Antonio, Edgewood and South San Antonio ISDs (inner-city and South Side districts) garnered 1.5 stars. It likely is of little surprise that while none of San Antonio, Bexar County’s,... more
It is unpleasant and more than a little frustrating to wake to headlines that read, “S.A. Councilman wants panhandling to end .” There aren’t too many people who wouldn’t want to see all poverty end. Notwithstanding, even the Christ said, “the poor will always be with us.” Indeed. It is unpleasant and more than a little frustrating to wake to headlines that read,... more
Was the result of the 2010 elections a result of a majority population of lapdogs of the oligarchs? Or a product of our apartheid public education system? Or just mean-spirited compassionate conservative religiosities doing what they do?
Is all the acrimony we are experiencing in political discourse related to every part of our republic and culture? That would especially mean our apartheid public education system, the inherently mean-spiritedness of the majority population or just part of being a good compassionate conservative religiosity lapdog of the oligarchs? I’m just asking…Was the result of the 2010 elections a result of a majority population of lapdogs of... more
Be that as it may I find insult heaped on injury on glancing at local headlines. Have I mentioned that elections lead to public policy and vice-versa? It’s not about “values” it’s about prejudice, ignorance and intolerance.

Compassionate conservative religiosities voted into office by like minded constituents create an air of intolerance and constraint not much different than living in say, Russia, China or some other oppressive state.Be that as it may I find insult heaped on injury on glancing at local headlines. All about most people are running ‘round more concerned with the machinations of preparing for a “traditional” Thanksgiving Day gorging---at least those who still have jobs and can afford it---than in reflecting on the conditions in which it will be celebrated this time. All about most people are running ‘round more concerned with the machinations of... more

Elections 2010: in Texas Red things only get more so as compassionate conservative Christians rule the day…It is said that success breeds success and judging from the results of the recent right-wing, GOPer/Tea Partier driven mid-term election---it is so. Frightened, confused, angry and hateful GOPer faithful showed up in droves.
In Texas Red the net result is that 23 of the state’s 32 congressional seats will be GOPer filled. This means in essence that the status of Texas Red is that of pretty much a totalitarian state since the governor’s mansion, both houses of the legislature and for most of recent history is almost the entire state supreme court are GOPer controlled. It is said that success breeds success and judging from the results of the recent... more
Public policy: mandate to the lapdogs, transformational event or just a Yosemite Sam Tea Party moment?Find what you read here interesting? Amusing? Irritating? Subscribe. It is free. Thanks.
So what exactly does the result of the mid-term election mean? Other than that we have to listen to the irritating voices of majority players McConnell, Boehner and the like.
Really does the result of election 2010 mean a people’s mandate to the lapdogs; a transformational event or just a Yosemite Sam Tea Party moment? If you’ve read any of my blogs you can probably guess.Find what you read here interesting? Amusing? Irritating? Subscribe. It is free.... more
The folk of the nation have spoken---inarticulately, illiterately, incoherently, vindictively and far from lucid but they have spoken.

Approximately $4B dollars has gone into this mid-term general election. Much of that money has come from groups that make great effort to stay anonymous. No real surprises gays, immigrants (“illegals” how can anyone be illegal?) and Muslims are still the compassionate conservative religiosity’s piñatas of choice. Viewed from 10,000 feet it’s difficult to discern a difference between the compassionate conservative religiosities and 1930’s Nationalist Germany.
Still it is interesting that given conditions on the ground Texas Red will elect a Democrat to its governor’s office in 2010.No real surprises gays, immigrants (“illegals” how can anyone be illegal?)... more
