Dan Viesnik
Humanitarian and anti-nuclear campaigner prepares for Highbury Corner Magistrates Court.
30.01.2010
Following a long line of Peace Activists, Dan is intent on making his mark in the growing history of individuals who believe every human has the right to freedom of life without fear and a Nuclear Free home planet where corporate greed and fear-mongering will not reign supreme.
The thing I like about this guy is he just gets on and goes for what he believes.. and I guess at some point in our lives the excuses for in-action simply run dry.
A guy asked me the other day 'Why do you do what you do - What difference will it make?'
(and I'm certainly not the first to be asked that one!)
All I know is if we don't listen to the beat of our hearts or pretend our nature is other than it is to fit with an outside view of ourselves, life eventually becomes a façade - you can't please everyone & in all likelihood 'everyone' wont give a shit either way... so be true to yourself.
We may make a difference, we may not - but here's a question: has anyone heard of climate change, Mandela, Gravity?
On ya Dan - I'm sure if anyone could meditate their way through jail, and make friends while they're at it, it'll be you.

please note: there are many ways to be involved in peace campaigns - spending time in cells is not for that exciting and may cause damage to your health & paperwork.
We dont all need to be martyrs, but we do need to take part in this life!
