Zsa Zsa Gabor, who was rushed to Ronald Reagan-UCLA Medical Center on Tuesday morning with suspected internal bleeding, is suffering from multiple infections, her husband said.
Frederic Prinz von Anhalt said doctors have found that Gabor has a new infection where her leg was partially amputated two weeks ago and also has an infection in her lungs. Doctors drained water from her lungs.
She is in critical condition and will be in the hospital for at least a day, he said.
Spokesman John Blanchette said Gabor began spitting up blood Tuesday morning after breakfast. Doctors suspect some type of internal bleeding. Over the weekend, Blanchette said Gabor was confused and could not recognize her husband and her regular doctor, who came to the house for a visit.
The condition of the Hungarian-born actress, 93, was not clear.
Gabor has been in and out of the hospital for complications from hip surgery performed after she fell at her Beverly Hills home. Doctors had been treating an infection with heavy-duty antibiotics.
The amputation was necessary because of poor circulation and a large ulcerated area on the leg.

Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor is back home after she was admitted to hospital in Los Angeles for a leg infection, her publicist has confirmed.
"She had an infection in her leg and she was being treated with antibiotics," said John Blanchette.
The 93-year-old has suffered a number of health-related setbacks since breaking her hip in July.
In August she asked for a priest to read her the last rites, following surgery to remove two blood clots.
A month later the star was rushed to hospital after slipping into unconsciousness.
