The show consists of life size figural sculptures constructed of collaged torn sheets of newspaper, wood, wire, screws, tape and everyday objects which depict the characters captured by Kurtz's iPhone camera lens. Utilizing the observing eye of a curious urban voyeur, Will Kurtz spends large portions of his days combing the streets of New York for his subjects, which are later transformed into sincere and amusing life-size sculptures. It is not the subjects' aesthetic appeal that draws Kurtz as much as their essence and strong representation of the multitude of prototypes that typify New York City: from an old married couple and endearingly eccentric dog owners to curmudgeonly middle-aged smokers. On exhibition through February 18th. http://www.freeturbine.com/index.php/news/artists-news/item/will-kurtz-s-extra-fing-ordinary-opens-at-the-mike-weiss-galleryThe show consists of life size figural sculptures constructed of collaged torn sheets... more

This is a mixtape where rapper Mitsurugi Kazumaru tries to allow both his Cel-Man Iller and Little Boy Satan persona coexist. Picture this: The end result is a mash up of traxXx created, written, and recorded in the middle of a pentagram, selling a soul and sacrificing a first born. Lyrics are over the top and edgy. Simple yet witty. Cel-Man Iller is known for much better lyricism than this but in his own words stated that, "I didn't want to constantly come out with a mixtape where I'm just a dude using these big words with these dope beats and people are like, 'YEAH this is dope!' but once they leave my presence, 'I don't know what that nigga was talking about though in his raps.' So this is like...a dumbed down version of Cel-Man honestly...it hurt to do it but...-shrugs-" This is the mixtape he made for everyone to enjoy and vibe to while still carrying around his Horrorcore, acid rap status. It's a 14 track mixtape, though on the Peanut Butter Mech BandCamp you will notice it only has 13. Apparently the Charlie Sheen Status single is apart of the mixtape as well but due to an offer from iTunes was distributed separately to increase revenue. The emcee also had this to say, "Fans have known me for versatile lyrics in the past, the only difference between that and this mixtape is all of my old work had a monotone feel to it, as if I had the wording and was working on a delivery. This mixtape has/delivery/Flubeum/lyrics. 3 key elements, The Prunes gotta bring the grafitti now.

There is an expansion pack to the album coming soon titled Light Of The Darkness: Six Sick Shits. Unlike the prior installment it won't be 'Cel-Man's' mixtape but instead L.B.S'. 'Production for it is going quite well, got some new engineering techniques down so mixing will go way better and people won't be complaining about the vocals being to loud now.' So keep a look out for it, there is one track on the bandcamp promoting the song titled "Punch A Fucking Baby [Spray On Condoms/Old School Pussy]
A horribly mixed song with a horrible message, about possessions, murder, dismemberment, rape, sodomy, drugs, the only thing we don't hear about is money and cars in the song. The song is the most obnoxious piece of work I've ever heard but apparently that will be the most obscene song on the mixtape...we think.

We were fighting what was an obvious, difficult, never-ending and probably impossible struggle to shoot arrows at this oncoming juggernaut of what was a corporate machine that was going to sweep us away and turn this whole culture into nothing more than a Karaoke playground. And once you understand that, you understand there’s a balance: there’s a Karaoke culture and there’s an authentic culture. The authentic culture is probably not very big right now. If you look around here and try to find something authentic, it’s like looking for a ruby in a field of tin – impossible to find! http://www.makeahistory.com/index.php/section-table/312-malcolm-mclaren-about-the-renaissance-of-the-romantics-the-punk-aesthetic-and-the-era-of-bullshit-interviewsWe were fighting what was an obvious, difficult, never-ending and probably impossible... more
