Pixar's Next Three Films to be Sequels? submitted by Psythor
Sequels are a sure thing, so it doesn't surprise me that much. But Pixar usually runs with one franchise and let's the rest be original. Then again, when was the last time I thought about Toy Story?

New helmer Duncan Jones dives from "Moon" into "Deep" submitted by Vistapoint
Duncan Jones makes the jump from kitsch sci-fi (or "SyFy" if you're Universal) into a real-life World War II story. Interesting choice of topic: Jones mostly pulls of atmosphere throughout Moon, but overall the film's unsurprising "SURPRISE" mostly annoyed me. Let's see what he can do when he isn't the writer.
Sacha Baron Cohen Sued for 'Bruno' Stunt submitted by sumgurl
Oh. Hey. That guy that made Borat tricked people. Again. Mm. Hey, look, a piece of string. Mm. Wow.
and finally, bad news:

indieWIRE has the breaking news that the Denver International Film Festival is being rocked by walkouts from jury members and staff over economic woes, programming choices and seemingly everything else about the new turn the fest has taken.

Today, my favorite stories over at Current.com/Movies including news of another 3D remake, edible James Bond and proof that the Bruno "mishap" from last night's MTV Movie Awards was a well-timed scam. Even if it was repeated.
Lionsgate Sings 'Happy Birthday' in 3-D submitted by Vistapoint
Trailer to the original on top. We say meh, but Lionsgate seemingly needs a hit despite a profit decrease.
Licence to Chill: Ice Lolly Shaped like Daniel Craig submitted by Burukku16
and finally--
"Yes, the Bruno/Eminem incident was staged." via John Merriman's Twitter
Sure, this wasn't on Current.com, but that's because you guys have to clip something cool when you see it. I saw it, I tweeted and still nothing. Even Current Comedy got on it!
So yes, it was a bit conjured up by one of the writers, Scott Aukerman, and we think we'd like to see more from him. Especially the Paul Rudd thing. The winter clothes bit was awesome.
Anyway, that's today! See you tomorrow!

Alien Remake? More like PREQUEL submitted by moi
After yesterday's horror that there was an Alien remake in the works, Collider confirmed that it's in fact a remake when they grabbed Tony Scott outside of a junket for The Taking of Pelham 123. It'll be directed, however, by Carl Rinsch. Go figure.

We're a few hours away from a new episode of The Rotten Tomatoes Show tonight, so it seems fitting we celebrate with three things that caught my eye today off Current.com/Movies, which is looking rather fresh and swanky after our redesign today. So in no apparent order, let's take a look at Today's Triple Feature:
Terry Gilliam back in the saddle for 'Quixote' submitted by Vistapoint
Finally, my dreams of a three disc set for Man of La Mancha will come true! Two discs about the first time he tried to make the movie and a third disc about his latest failed attempt.
We kid, it would actually be awesome if this took off the ground. Lord knows Gilliam has been struggling to make magical realism films popular enough to finally get Don Quixote to the screen. Even if it has become the same as a joke.
"Fake IMAX" Theaters Busted By Comedian Aziz Ansari submitted by Slimpunk
Aziz Ansari leads the war cry against theaters--specifically in Los Angeles--that falsely claim they're screening on IMAX. Having been through a similar dupe at a Beverly Hills theater for Star Trek, we're with him.
3-D glasses and French cinephiles may not mix. Or, "Up" opens Cannes and people feel weird about it submitted by vistapoint
The 2009 Cannes Film Festival opened with Pixar's Up on Wednesday. While tweets and blogs are claiming a lull this year, we're not overtly shocked people weren't wowed by an animated film. Then again, how many times has a Disney picture opened this fest? (We're asking you. Too lazy to check Wikipedia.)
Otherwise, that was Thursday! And now to wait for a brand new episode of the show. Later.[collegehumor 1910892]

After a decent opening weekend for J.J. Abrams' Star Trek, which still didn't topple Wolverine numbers, it is time once again for three things from Current.com/Movies that makes my working week worthwhile.
7 other Franchises JJ Abrams Should Reboot submitted by DistantPlanet
Cinematical takes a glance at some other franchises that Abrams could work on. But ultimately, we'd rather he just stick with Trek for the time being.
Over 10 Minutes of Terminator: Salvationsubmitted by Sexirobot
To be fair, it's ten minutes, 55 seconds. And we're fairly sure this is coming from the Electronic Press Kit, so it'll be taken down shortly. It spoils nothing the trailers have shown you, except that pre-T-800 Terminators are dumb enough to fall for kids' tricks.
Real Footage from Disney's Prince of Persia submitted by AtomicLegion
See Jake Dusty. That is about it. Nothing into the plot or whether the time travel plot device still exists, since it seems like now The Prince is in fact adopted? I don't remember that in the game.[collegehumor 1909979]

It's the end of the weekend and what better way to celebrate than with three awesome clips from Current.com/Movies? Well, yes, maybe getting $100 to review Star Trek, Rudo y Cursi or Next Day Air before Sunday at midnight.
But until then, here's today's Triple Feature:
[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="440" caption="Will Smith and son, Jaden. And Photoshop. (via /film)"][/caption]
Karate Kid remake plot details emerge submitted by MattBrawn
So, he's learning Kung Fu, he goes to China and Jaden Smith's character is named Dre.
Sure, I'd still call it The Karate Kid. Why not?
No Klingon in Star Trek? How Could They? submitted by St_Alia_10191
An interesting question, as Abrams instead chose to focus on the Romulan race, who--despite being the primary focus in Star Trek Nemesis--have always been a subdued and generally ignored race in the grander scheme of main Trek lore.
The Ultimate Exploitation Experience submitted by TravG73
