I like asking people questions from our Twitter account. When I ask these questions in the office, at best I get 2 responses: "why are you asking me this question?" But on Twitter people respond earnestly, as if asking that weird question wasn't weird.
I like to ask people what they ate for lunch, right before I go to lunch, so I get ideas for food. Today I didn't know what I wanted to listen to (or what I was going to blog about) so I asked Twitter "what was the first song you heard this morning?"
As I'm writing this, I cannot recall the first song I heard this morning. I do know the first song that linawho heard today: "baudelaire" by ...trail of dead. It seems like a lot of the first songs people hear in their day are completely accidental. Uberlegitimate was listening to NPR news, and then some how ended up hearing "Drop it Like it's Hot." MaryanneRiley unintentionally heard "4 Minutes" by JT & Madonna because it was playing at the gas station. kid_amy turned on her car, and Magical Mystery Tour popped on.
Some people aren't totally sure what song they heard. Sefus started his day with Radiohead's High and Dry or "at least" he thinks "thats the name of it." tabithakaruna took forever to remember it, but it turned out she was listening to Cold as Ice by Foreigner. chelsobelso says she heard "the Hair musical song, called Hair i think."
Sometimes the first song you hear in the morning guides your day. bcross says "Justice - Genesis... appropriate I guess" haha yeah, it's always good to start your day from the beginning. born2____ used "Suffer for Fashion" by Of Montreal to pick out his outfit for the day.
Everyone wins, but the video that gets embedded is (drum roll, please)
