It has oft been said: “if you do not have anything nice to say, come sit by me.” These words have been on Gerard Alessandrini's mind when he authored the very first Forbidden Broadway. Alessandrini was then an unemployed actor in desperate search of that elusive venue to showcase his talents. Forbidden Broadway opened in the intimate Palsson's Super Club on New York City's Upper West Side in January 1982.
