Hollywood Dump: A Gleeking Mess
-GQ hides behind those letters. Let’s not forget that GQ stands for Gentlemen Quarterly. The question stands, then, does photos of girls dressed like beerbelly men fantasies really what a gentlemen should be displaying as their thought of the ideal woman? The question isn’t whether I find the pictures hot (because I do), it’s a matter of do they embody what Gentlemen means?
Moreover, the photo shoot was so uncreative it is funny. It’s funny that they got so much publicity on a bland, boring, trite, overly done idea and now are going to bank (in some way--they hope more than just spank) off of it. A high schooler with only boxers on could have come up with this idea. GQ should stand for Genius Quality instead of Gratuitous Quandary. As you scroll up and down in search for the photos, I’m not going to post any of them. Why? I think they’re terrible at being creative, not terrible morally like the unnecessary Parental whatevers who go out of their way to make a finger pointing at a girls boob sexual when in fact it could be educational. Such as, Ohmy look at that boob, it’s fake. *point* Who cares?

This is one of the best smear ad's I've ever seen. Pretty sure Adam Sandler didn't give his permission for the clip use. Or that the TV show Glee is too happy about the use of their format. But what ya gonna do?

Much discussion has swirled around the racy photoshoot in GQ featuring Glee stars Lea Michele, Dianna Agron, and Cory Monteith. Although the actors are all in their twenties, the photos invoke the mood of the high school characters they play on TV, as they pose provocatively amongst lockers and other high school sets.
Some have criticized the shoot:
Of the zillion photo shoots of the cast, all the others have either kept them in their reasonably chaste cast personas or let them be simply their true adult selves. The GQ spread, in contrast, is just creepy. Playing off the setting of the show, it essentially keeps its stars in character, thereby then allowing its readers -- median age 33.4 -- to ogle them as porny teen fantasy characters -- all spread legs and underpants in the locker room, all red high heels and cheerleader outfits.
But GQ has defended the pictures, with a quote to The Insider: "As often happens in Hollywood, these 'kids' are in their twenties," he adds. "Cory Monteith is almost 30! I think they're old enough to do what they want."
Do you think the fact that the actors themselves are in their twenties makes this photo shoot acceptable? Or does the fact that it calls to mind the high school characters they portray on TV cross the line into inappropriate?Much discussion has swirled around the racy photoshoot in GQ featuring Glee stars Lea... more
