I have often wondered why Disney Theatricals has never opted to translate their beloved classic Aladdin to the stage. I now know why. Without Robin Williams' certifiable comic genius, no magic carpet can make this show, especially as adapted here, truly fly. There is simply no substitute for Williams and his hilarious contributions the original.
