“Series of Portraits: A Century of Photographs” is an exhibtion of 20th century portrait photography, which is presently on display at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe, Hamburg. Portraiture is one of the traditional genres in art and was a driving force behind the invention of photography in the 19th century. Portrait photography continually redefines itself, between dissolution of the traditional concept of the subject in the masses, toward the pursuit of individuality and identity. The image of the human being is subject to constant change, which is also reflected in photography, sometimes with spectacular results.
This piece includes a number of high-resolution photographs and a photo-gallery.

“Chick” is an award-winning, wickedly funny five-minute animated short film by the Polish graphic and animation artist Michal Socha. It’s the naughty tale of a raucous evening of intensely hot and heavy sex, a design tour de force that casts a jaundiced eye upon a couple’s steamy night of wild lust. Their evening date quickly devolves into a darkly torrid roll-in-the hay, a boffo one-night-stand that ultimately leads to an unexpectedly shocking eye-for-an-eye climax. Next!
This piece includes colorful pictures, as well as the twisted, very sexy animated short film.

“Changes” is a newly-released surreal short film directed by Jaron Albertin at Spy Films, created for the Canadian indie rock band Stars. “Changes” is a single from Stars’ last album, “The Five Ghosts,” which has been described as anthems for the afterlife, contemplations on mortality that envision a foreboding but ultimately blissful unknown. Albertin’s visual interpretation of the song has been viewed as an otherworldly imagination of good and evil in the world, and how it manifests itself in the individual.
This piece includes photographs and the short film/music video.

This piece includes a number of color photographs, as well as the very humorous short film.
