When fans at the massive new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas use their cell phones to make a call, check scores on the mobile web or post pictures to their Facebook pages, they're using Telecommunication Properties Inc.'s playbook for robust in-building wireless services.
TPI, an industry leader in distributed antenna systems (DAS) since its founding in 1985, has the challenging task of making sure all the cell phone signals and wireless data coming into and out of Cowboys Stadium gets to where it's supposed to go on Sundays in the fall. The company says it can put all the various players - sports arena owners, wireless providers, venue contractors and fans - on the same team thanks to its expertise in cell site location, antenna technology and wireless systems.

After just a few days in customers' hands, the iPhone 4 has been demonstrated to show signal loss when gripped in a certain way. Apple is writing it off as easily fixable by altering the way it's held. But is it a problem with the way customers are holding it or a flaw in Apple's design?
