Today is October 1st and like every year I spend the majority of the month watching as many horror movies as I possibly can. So I decided to take it upon myself to list off the greatest horror movies ever made. I felt the need to break up the list into several categories. You see, usually when people ask me for recommendations of what horror films they should see, they still have some idea of what sub genre they are interested in watching. So as appose to having one big jumbled list, I’ve broken it down to help with those looking for recommendations in a specific area. PLEASE NOTE: by the end of the month, the last entry in this series will include a list of what I think are without a doubt, the 31 greatest horror movies ever made. For now, I present to you my list of the best in the found footage genre. I’ve also included trailers below. Enjoy!

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned a outdoor advertising campaign for the horror movie "The Last Exocism"
The ASA said that the poster, which was ran by Optimum Releasing, is "likely to cause offence and distress when displayed in an untargeted medium" and that they were "unsuitable to be seen by children". 77 people complained about the ad when it appeared in posters, buses and magazines.

Best horror movies ever did go back to check out The Last Exorcism again this past weekend since we were pretty harsh on it and we don’t really like Eli Roth. So we went unbiased this time, not Eli Roth dartboards or anything and The Last Exorcism sat a little better with us this time around. It still starts out with a great premise and goes to hell, but not as bad as we originally felt.Best horror movies ever did go back to check out The Last Exorcism again this past... more

Best horror movies ever was hoping we’d be wrong about Eli Roth’s The Last Exorcism. It may have beat out Takers for Number one Friday Night but that was only because it was in more theaters. Actual moviegoers gave it a Cinemascore of a D which means they hated The Last Exorcism. It’s all about how to end a movie and not forgetting about your audience.Best horror movies ever was hoping we’d be wrong about Eli Roth’s The Last... more

Best horror movies ever is agreeing with all the critics that The Last Exorcism is a pretty good film but then the ending just kills it. Even we just wish the studio or one of the producers had listened to the audiences at the Fantasia Film Festival. It could have made a good film great.

Does "The Last Exorcism" have you in the mood for creepy films? Ellen Fox recommends 1999's "Audition," director Takashi Miike's disturbing Japanese horror film, in which a romantic encounter quickly becomes a nightmare with more torture than any of the "Saw" movies ever managed.

Best horror movies ever checked out Eli Roth’s The Last Exorcism and we have to agree with the bulk of the critics. The Last Exorcism is a good film up until the last 5 -10 minutes and you wish Eli Roth would stop touching films. We want to like the stuff he does, but this film just needs a stronger and better ending and you’d think after them hearing this at Fantasia Film Festival they would have listened!Best horror movies ever checked out Eli Roth’s The Last Exorcism and we have to... more
