Sharon Woodward
Freelance Filmmaker, Tutor, Project Manager and Film/Arts Mentor. Got her first break in television in 1984/85 with the new Channel 4's Eleventh Hour, Youth Series 'Turn It Up'. Later went on and trained at Newport Film School, The National Film and Television School and in the cutting rooms of BBC Wales and Tyne Tees Television. She specialized from 2003 - 2010 in running media projects with young people with physical and learning disabilities, making information accessible working closely with those blind and hearing impaired young people, has CACDP British Sign Language Level 2. Her workshops have produced a number of award winning film projects. Sharon continues to make independent productions, and has done so for Charities, Education and Local Government. In 1996 Sharon formed Mischief Pictures with Producer Richard Duriez to make micro budget productions on digital video. Her films have been screened at cinemas and at UK & International film festivals including Cannes and Edinburgh. Sharon continues to work on her own productions as well as productions for other organizations, individuals and community groups.
Professional Affiliations: Institute For Learning, BECTU (General Production) and the Artist and Information Company.

Documentary Course / Film Oxford - OFVM
Sharon Woodward and Gary Shenton (Production Manager) set up the documentary course in 1994 at OFVM – Film Oxford, Sharon taught on the course until 1997. Since then the course has changed in tutors and content inline with styles and trends in documentary practices.
In February 2010 Sharon returned to teaching the documentary course at OFVM – Film Oxford with Richard Duriez (Filmmaker and Course Manager).
