The UK’s most-talked about topics on Facebook for 2011 have been revealed and the royal wedding and August riots have topped the list.
According to details released by Facebook, a million people updated their status to mention something about the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, though no details of sentiment were provided.
In second place, the not-so-happy occasion of the August riots became a UK-wide talking point as Facebook users discussed what was happening in their area and in some cases organised clean-up campaigns where looting had taken place.
Perhaps fittingly, the third-most-discussed subject was TV show The Only Way Is Essex, which appeared above Amy Winehouse and Osama Bin Laden’s deaths on the list.
The top 10 topics mentioned in British Facebook users’ statuses in 2011 was:
1. The royal wedding
2. The August riots
3. The Only Way Is Essex
4. The death of Amy Winehouse
5. The death of Osama Bin Laden
6. The death of Muammar Gaddafi
7. Jessie J
8. Ed Sheeran
9. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Hamley’s has recently unveiled their Prince William and Kate Middleton wedding dolls (the pair is yours for £100) that are sure to give you nightmares because they are something I have to guess Tim Burton helped design.
Prince Williams looked like he soiled himself and is having an ‘oh nuts this has never happened to a Royal before’ moment (trust me if you say it in a British Royal accent it’s actually funny. Maybe). You know you are so mortified, but find it hysterical at the same time? You don’t know whether to laugh or fall into a heap of sobs.
Kate’s makeup is total overkill and her head is HUGE. Like a bobble-head. The dress is bang on, I have to admit.
If you hate your kids this is the perfect gift to give them nightmares. This toy is not recommended for kids under 14. No kidding.

Who can forget Princess Beatrice's hat at the Royal Wedding, in fact I can't even remember the wedding, just this hat, and Pippa's derrière of course. Well this hat, created by Philip Treacy, can now be yours for £50,400.05 (on 20/5) or more after Princess Beatrice put the hat up for auction on eBay last week - with all the proceedings going to UNICEF and Children in Crisis.
The beige creation often likened to an octopus, a pretzel and even a turkey twizzler has made the internet-rounds in various shapes and forms - it even has its own Facebook page. To ensure you know what you are bidding for here are some photos of the hat in action.

There were many attractions of the royal wedding. Not only the bride and the bride groom but also the guests were at the core of attention. Also the cars of the Royal wedding were fantastic. Cars from Royal carriages to Jaguar every single car was awsome. Royal Carriages, Royal Minibuses, Bentley’s and Jaguar’s to Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce, the wedding had the best of the super-luxury cars. While the world witnessed royalty tie the knot, we kept an eye on the cars that were driven.
Bride’s car: The morning began with bride Kate Middleton arriving in Rolls-Royce VI with her father Michael at the Westminster Abbey. The classic 1960s Phantom VI is the same car that was attacked by protesters while Prince Charles and Camilla were travelling in it last December. Based on the Phantom V, the Phantom VI has a re-styled facia and is powered by an engine derived from the current Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow.
Bride Grooom’s Car: Followed her was bridegroom His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales with brother Prince Harry in a Bentley Limousine. Next up were The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall who arrived at the Abbey in a 1950 Rolls-Royce Phantom IV followed by The Queen and Prince Philip in the Scottish State Coach.
Princess Arriving to Eligant: The Princess Royal arrived in the elegant and powerful Bentley Continental Flying Spur. Others who made a significant presence with their cars were David Cameron in a contemporary luxury car that is both beautiful and exhilarating, the Jaguar XJ, Nick Clegg in a BMW 7 Series, Mr. Bean-fame Rowan Atkinson and his wife Sunetra Sastry and David and Victoria Beckham in their Rolls-Royce Phantoms. The rest of the glitterati opted for a more down-to-earth method to commute in Volkswagen mini buses.
The Couple at Palace: Prince William and Princess Kate exchanged their wedding vows at Westminster Abbey, the Royal couple while on their way back to Buckingham Palace were escorted in the 1902 Royal Landau. The twist of the day came when in mid-afternoon the newlyweds travelled to Clarence House from Buckingham Palace in their Aston Martin DB6 Volante. The car was given to William’s father Prince Charles by the Queen on his 21st birthday in 1969. The Volante was converted to run on E85 bioethanol which was made from wine wastage. There were many attractions of the royal wedding. Not only the bride and the bride... more

I got silly for the kids back home at the Royal Wedding and did this video to show what it's like to go to a Royal event in London... Then got very popular with my Prince William mask! What a hoot!
Even if you aren't a fan of the monarchy, everyone loves love! And, of course, a few days off to celebrate!
Being from Detroit, and having little "class"... I thought I'd pose with the punters for some pics Detroit "pimpin'" style... and had such a great time!
Hope you all enjoy this video with highlights from the day...I got silly for the kids back home at the Royal Wedding and did this video to show... more

Last week we told you about the rumor regarding a prenuptial agreement might have been signed by Prince William and Catherine Middleton. The rumor started because of William’s own parents past when his mother Princess Diana got a large sum for the settlement. However, nobody confirmed nor denied this before the wedding this past Friday, until now
