The gunmen who killed 77 people in attacks in Norway in July has acknowledged carrying out the massacre but refused to plead guilty in his first public court appearance since the attacks.Anders Behring Breivik, dressed in a dark suit, appeared in court in Oslo today before survivors of the attacks, relatives of his victims and reporters.Speaking at a court just two blocks from where he detonated a huge home-made bomb before shooting 69 people at the ruling political party's youth summer camp, also rejected the court's authority to hear his case."I am a military commander in the Norwegian resistance movement and Knights Templar Norway," Breivik told the court. "Regarding the competence [of the court], I object to it because you received your mandate from organisations that support hate ideology [and] because it supports multiculturalism.""I acknowledge the acts but I do not plead guilty," Breivik said.It was the first opportunity for the media, surviving victims and victims' relatives to hear Breivik, 32, speak publicly. In this video report from BBC the reporter says some of the survivors wanted to see what he really looked like - hoping that he would look like a monster but saying he looked really normal, which is even more disturbing. The killings shattered a nation known for its open society, peace and prosperity.Breivik, speaking at a court picketed by a group of protesters holding a banner that read "No speakers' platform for fascists", attempted to address survivors and victims' relatives but the court denied his request.

Why were America's Islamophobes able to avoid accountability for so long?
Few political terrorists in recent history took as much care to articulate their ideological influences and political views as Anders Behring Breivik did. The right-wing Norwegian Islamophobe who murdered 76 children and adults in Oslo and at a government-run youth camp spent months, if not years, preparing his 1,500 page manifesto.
Besides its length, one of the most remarkable aspects of the manifesto is the extent to which its European author quoted from the writings of figures from the American conservative movement. Though he referred heavily to his fellow Norwegian, the blogger Fjordman, it was Robert Spencer, the American Islamophobic pseudo-academic, who received the most references from Breivik -- 55 in all. Then there was Daniel Pipes, the Muslim-bashing American neoconservative who earned 18 citations from the terrorist. Other American anti-Muslim characters appear prominently in the manifesto, including the extremist blogger Pam Geller, who operates an Islamophobic organization in partnership with Spencer.
Breivik may have developed his destructive sensibility in the stark political environment of a European continent riveted by mass immigration from the Muslim world, but his conceptualization of the changes he was witnessing reflect the influence of a cadre of far-right bloggers and activists from across the Atlantic Ocean. He not only mimicked their terminology and emulated their language, he substantially adopted their political worldview. The profound impact of the American right's Islamophobic subculture on Breivik's thinking raises a question that has not been adequately explored: Where is the American version of Breivik and why has he not struck yet? Or has he?

Following the horrendous terror attacks which struck Norway on Friday, the internet community has come out in support of the victims, and condemnation of the attacker – and this includes hacking group ‘Anonymous’. The group who have in the past hacked large companies such as Visa and Paypal have shown their better side by organising a campaign which they call ‘Operation UnManifest’ in their attempt to make the cowardly who committed the attacks – Anders Behring Breivik – ‘look a joke’. http://www.makeahistory.com/index.php/free-stuff/42991-operation-unmanifest-let-anders-behring-breivik-become-a-jokeFollowing the horrendous terror attacks which struck Norway on Friday, the internet... more

In his 1500-page manifesto—spammed to one thousand people more than one hour before the massacre—Norewegian killer Anders Breivik devoted pages and pages about how to read his deadly boring tome, including why he chose Microsoft Word:
I chose to send the compendium as a Word file for the following reason:
1. MS Word is one of the most common and popular software formats
2. Significantly easier to edit the document compared to PDF
3. A Word file is significantly smaller than a PDF file (3,5 MB vs 8-10 MB)
4. The quality of the images are conserved a lot better than in a PDF
5. Distribution: it is easier to avoid spam filters with a file smaller than 5 MB
Since I have chosen to send the document in Word format you can easily extract all information and the images from the Word file. I deliberately avoided locking the document for this reason.
Yeah. The nutcase actually prefaced his plans to kill a few dozen people in cold blood with some notes about why Word was perfect to distribute his condensed stupidity. But that's not all. The anal nature of this bloody bastard continues here:
If you want to extract the images from word you can do the following:
1. Simply open MS Paint (standard Windows program), copy the image from Word and paste it in Paint. You then savethe image in Paint as a jpg or any other format.
It is easy to convert the file, if desired, to a PDF file or any other format. Simply save theWord file as a PDF file. As for extraction from a PDF file; several software programs including newer versions of Adobe Acrobat allow conversion and extraction. Just google the word; "PDF to Word converter" or do
He even gives tips about how to pirate the software:
If you want Word 2007 for longer than the 60 day trial it is likely you will have to download a serial code which allows you to unlock the software permanently or at least extend the trial period for 6-12 months.
I skimmed through the whole manifesto and it's absolutely surreal. But on top of that, these level of obsessive description about the format of his mental diarrhea is clearly indicative of that bloody bastard's degree of craziness.

The Nobel Peace Prize officially rejected a bid to award the Norway killer, Anders Behring Breivik, with its most prestigious prize. The committee announced the Norway bomber’s plan for peace and saving the West from Islam was not comprehensive enough to deserve the famous peace prize and it significantly fell short of Obama’s “much more effective long term predator drone peace policies.”

The English Defence League (EDL) has defended claims that Anders Behring Breivik, who has admitted carrying out Friday's shooting and bomb attacks in Norway, had links to the organisation.
Breivik posted supportive messages about EDL online and claims to have had contact in the past with members of the organisation, but had distanced himself from them in his manifesto.
Jeremy Paxman interviews EDL leader Stephen Lennon - who also goes by the name of Tommy Robinson - on Newsnight about the recent tragic events in Norway.

The Norwegian man charged Saturday with a pair of attacks in Oslo that killed at least 92 people left behind a detailed manifesto outlining his preparations and calling for a Christian war to defend Europe against the threat of Muslim domination, according to Norwegian and American officials familiar with the investigation.
As stunned Norwegians grappled with the deadliest attack in the country since World War II, a portrait began to emerge of the suspect, Anders Behring Breivik, 32. The police identified him as a right-wing fundamentalist Christian, while acquaintances described him as a gun-loving Norwegian obsessed with what he saw as the threats of multiculturalism and Muslim immigration.
“We are not sure whether he was alone or had help,” a police official, Roger Andresen, said at a televised news conference. “What we know is that he is right wing and a Christian fundamentalist.”
In the 1,500-page manifesto, posted on the Web hours before the attacks, Mr. Breivik recorded a day-by-day diary of months of planning for the attacks, and claimed to be part of a small group that intended to “seize political and military control of Western European countries and implement a cultural conservative political agenda.”
He predicted a conflagration that would kill or injure more than a million people, adding, “The time for dialogue is over. We gave peace a chance. The time for armed resistance has come.”
The manifesto was signed Andrew Berwick, an Anglicized version of his name. A former American government official briefed on the case said investigators believed the manifesto was Mr. Breivik’s work.
The manifesto, entitled “2083: A European Declaration of Independence,” equates liberalism and multiculturalism with “cultural Marxism,” which the document says is destroying European Christian civilization.
The document also describes a secret meeting in London in April 2002 to reconstitute the Knights Templar, a Crusader military order. It says the meeting was attended by nine representatives of eight European countries, evidently including Mr. Breivik, with an additional three members unable to attend, including a “European-American.”
