My name is Sarah, I am a stay-at-home mom, and I am part of the 99%. I am writing my fellow occupiers to propose a means to achieve all of the goals that have been brought forth by participants in the OWS protests. We need to join together and Occupy the Government! In just under a year, we have a major election in our country. The entire House of Representatives is up for grabs, and there are 33 senate seats to be won. Not to mention the local elections, 11 gubernatorial races, many state legislator elections as well as the big one, the office of President. I propose that rather than trying to change laws from the outside, we Occupy the Government and make the laws ourselves. Imagine having the power to take down Monsanto, stop fracking, stop mountain top removal, give people back their homes, help the people in Darfur, the Palestinians and other suffering people around the globe, mainstream renewable energy usage etc. . . The list of possibilities is endless. We could truly change the world. We could set an example and other democratic countries would follow in our footsteps.
I feel that most of the potential supporters of this movement are like me. We can’t afford to take a lot of time off of work to attend the protests or we have children at home and can’t risk getting arrested. I have never had a desire to go out and campaign for a presidential candidate because I never truly connected to one. I haven’t felt the need to dedicate my valuable time and energy to some wealthy person who has no understanding of what is truly important to me and my family. We could change all of that. Once people realize that there is a chance of putting their neighbors into powerful, political positions, people who understand that most Americans live paycheck to paycheck, I know that they would come out in droves. They supported Obama, believing that he was really going to change things. I believe that we could promise and deliver so much more than a false hope of change.
I know that there are going to be some reservations, within our large group, about having one person as a representative of the 99%. My response to that concern is that the forefathers of our country had the same concern, which is why they utilized the system of checks and balances. The people that are selected to be our representatives are really just spokespeople for the movement, spokespeople for the common values that are held by most of those that believe in and support OWS. On that note, it will be very important to select representatives who are strong in their beliefs and will not be easily swayed by lobbyists who will invariably offer them money. Just by having leaders in these positions that are average Americans, not millionaires, who truly understand the needs of the average American citizen, will be a giant step in the right direction.
Lack of experience is not an issue. The forefathers of our country had no experience when they created the framework of our democracy. The constitution was written “By the people, for the people”, and the elected officials who currently run our country have forgotten that. Our government is broken and I want us to work together to fix it. We are on the verge of 2012, which can be a time of positive change and enlightenment if we take advantage of it. Let’s take the fight to the place where we can make the biggest difference. I predict that once people realize that this resistance is not going to end in a bloody police battle and instead is going to utilize our democracy to create a huge and positive change all around the globe, you will see support for our cause grow exponentially.
Let’s take back our country, let’s take back our world. Let’s Occupy the Government!
Sincerely,
Sarah - a proud mother, wife and member of the 99%

Until they are held accountable, we cannot rest...
The President says he understands the frustration behind the Occupy Wall Street movement. That's nice. But the anger will keep growing as long as the government keeps handing out free passes instead of perp walks to bankers at serial corporate criminals like Citigroup.
The Administration is finally talking the talk, but without criminal investigations it's not walking the walk. Iit's still not too late. While the SEC's latest deal should outrage you, the Administration can makes things right with two decisive actions.
Get-Out-of-Jail Free Card
The SEC announced yesterday that Citigroup agreed to pay $285 million to settle charges that it misled (synonyms for that word include deceived; lied to; tricked and defrauded) investors in a mortgage securities deal, telling them it was a good investment when it knew otherwise and was secretly betting it would fail.
That's not just slimy. As the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission found in other instances, that kind of behavior is also illegal.
Here are five reasons you should be outraged. Warning: If you have high blood pressure, you should probably stop reading:
1. Once again, nobody had to confess.
2. Once again the criminals won't pay for their crimes - you will.
3. Criminals who aren't punished commit more crimes.
4. Bank CEOs keep getting rich while misdeeds happen on their watch - and are still treated like respectable people.
5. Citigroup was "conceived in sin" by government officials - some of whom got very rich there afterwards.

The Fossil Fuel and Natural Gas industries have launched an all out publicity blitz to skew the conversation around the highly controversial practice of Hydraulic Fracturing (Hydrofracking). Their targeted commercial spots on Fox, CNN, MSNBC and other channels during the main news casts are insidious in how they seek to make the sheep feel good about being lead to slaughter. The spots expertly lull viewers into a feeling of safety, security, and hope by focusing on 'creating jobs' and having 'energy independence' and enough energy to last for '100 years'. They FAIL to mention a few, pesky details that might dampen public opinion and get in the way of the 3 trillion dollars the fossil fuel industry stands to make in the process.

The ‘Occupy’ protests that started 3 weeks ago are spreading throughout the country like wildfire. Overnight, close to a thousand ‘Occupy’ events have connected with each other, and the number is only increasing.
There are people from all walks of life participating, but one thing remains the same: people have had enough with this broken financial oligarchy. Protesters have been spreading information and addressing the important issue of ending the Federal Reserve’s control of our money supply and economy. There have been key videos from San Francisco, Boston, and New York that encapsulate the public anger towards the private central banks and the international banking cartel.
Many are awake to the truth behind worthless fiat currency and the fractional reserve banking system. Americans and especially disadvantaged youth are done with the corrupt practices of the organized criminal class.
Michael Moore has been attending the protests in New York, and has been caught on camera saying we need to end capitalism. Most protesters don’t want to end capitalism, they want real capitalism which we have never seen with the financial and political system under the control of the international banking cartel.
Unfortunately Michael Moore has led groups within the movement in a bad direction. David Degraw of AmpedStatus.org reports from the frontlines in New York Thursday night, “We decided to gather people together and march to Wall Street later into the night. It seems every time we have a massive crowd, Mike Moore shows up a little later. He helped us rally people to start the march. Once we got to the barricades near Wall Street and things began to get intense, Moore was nowhere to be found, he vanished into the night.” Michael Moore seems to be acting as an agent provocateur in a way. Degraw says Moore led the protesters to barricades where two agent provocateurs incited police clubbing and pepper spraying as captured here by Luke Rudkowski of WeAreChange.
People involved in the protests need to make sure they stop Michael Moore from infiltrating this movement and steering it in any direction. This is not Michael Moore’s revolution and protesters need to keep that in mind going forward. Fortunately it looks as if the movement has already taken notice of this, and a “We Will NOT Be Co-Opted” Working Group has popped up and released this important statement:
“There are many people, organizations and media outlets within both the Democratic and Republican parties who are trying to label us as the Democrat’s version of the Tea Party. In this working groups opinion, not only is this incorrect, but in labeling us this way, you are, whether you realize it or not, undermining the very essence of this movement with your obsolete divide and conquer groupthink propaganda. Just as the mainstream media and both political parties aided and abetted the co-option of the Tea Party by the Republican Party, there is an attempt being made to do the same to us within the Democratic Party. We the People, We the 99%, are not the pawns of either wing of the two-party oligarchy.”
Most recently, the movement is now being painted as not adequately representing minorities. Janell Ross of HuffingtonPost reports Julianne Malveaux, the president of Bennett College[a historically black women’s college in North Carolina] as saying, “The organizers of Occupy Wall Street need to tap into the spaces where non-white people organize and discuss political and economic matters if they want to broaden the movement… The alleged post racial society that so many white people were so excited about doesn’t exist because we haven’t built it.”
This is just another attempt by mainstream media to paint a movement as racist, which is still being done, in order to prevent people from reaching across the aisle and joining forces under common ideals.
African Americans ARE awake, and artists like Prodigy embolden the fact that the anger against the Federal Reserve and financial oligarchy passes color lines. We must be vigilant and not allow the mainstream media to steer this revolution in any direction. People of all colors and creeds are welcome to this movement. Let us all participate in this struggle to free our future from the control of the international banking cartel.
I am extremely pleased to see Infowars and OathKeepers getting involved in a serious way. Alex Jones has sent reporters to New York to cover the protests. He is also occupying 3 separate Federal Reserve’s in his area. OathKeepers’ Stewart Rhodes recently said on the InfoWars Nightly News that he will be helping to spread information and support protests against the Federal Reserve all over the country.
The Federal Reserve is the real problem plauging this economy and it is important to focus on them in order to keep the movement going in the right direction, against the private central banks and their control of our economic system.by David Haynie

The OccupyWallStreet protests have swept America. People of all affiliations, creeds, and classes have shown solidarity behind the protesters that have faced police kettling, pepper spray, and arrest for expressing their right to the 1st amendment as guaranteed to all US citizens by the Bill of Rights.
People are expressing their joint distaste for Wall Street and the corrupt banking system that has hijacked our past, present, and future. People are standing up all over the world. There are different narratives, but the call is the same - we are one group, the 99%, and we want our future back.
Different groups on both sides of the aisle are showing to these protests in every major city in America.
There are currently groups and media outlets that look to discredit the revolutionary protests that have swept America.
Peter Josephs and the Zeitgeist Movement recently put out an e-mail response to the OccupyWallStreet protests. This is why I don't like Peter Joseph's and why I think he is NWO, from the e-mail:
"The historical illusion that continues to this day is that someone or
some group is explicitly to "blame". Rather than focus on the 400 people
who have more wealth than 150 million in America or the fact that globally
1% of the world's population has more wealth than 40%, let's instead ask
ourselves how such a manifestation is even possible and, more critically,
why we would expect anything less?"
"However, that stated, it must again be made clear that Wall Street and
the Banking System are not the source of our problems. They are only
symptoms of an Economic System which will continue to fail by the very
gravity of its outdated and false assumptions of human conduct and
environmental relationships."
I simply disagree with him. There is a group to specifically blame. The Federal Reserve, it's private central banks, the private central banks in Europe, and the other banks that are a part of the international banking cartel. And to say that Wall Street and the Banking System are not the source of our problems....? These people are working hard to break society down. Thank goodness for smart people fighting back like Infowars.
Infowars may be going nationwide to protest the Federal Reserve and get the movements to go in the right direction, right to the oligarchs that have implemented this planned implosion of the US economy. I for one will use every resource at my disposal to help any Infowarriors and to get this message out.
It can be guaranteed that Zeitgeist will destroy it's movement chooses to discredit the protests. To think that the bankers aren't the problem is ridiculous.
We will have change and we will make the global elite tremble in their boots. We will eventually reach the critical mass we need to force the control system to start doing right by humanity worldwide. No one will stop us now!The OccupyWallStreet protests have swept America. People of all affiliations, creeds,... more

Yesterday our own J.A. Myerson published an in-depth account of spending time among the Occupy Wall Street protesters and watching the mass arrests by the NYPD.
Last night he went to Thom Hartmann's RTV show, "The Big Picture" to talk about an important aspect of the protests: even though the individuals taking action may not seem not uniform in purpose, they have embraced radical democratic principles which have allowed them to collectively care for each other and support each other as the days occupying that small patch of land stretch into weeks.
Watch the interview above.
