Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) is a medical doctor. As such, he has to have had considerable exposure to the scientific method. In addition, he gas to have taken the Hippocratic Oath, promising to do no harm. Sadly, he seems quite content to ignore both.Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) is a medical doctor. Senate Democrats continue to attempt to craft common sense firearms legislation, designed to keep guns out of the hands of people forbidden to have them, outlaw military weapons that have no valid sporting use, and outlaw huge clips without interfering with the responsible use of firearms. The Republican Party continues to be part of the problem. They need a NOs job.Senate Democrats continue to attempt to craft common sense firearms legislation,... more

Mitch McConnell (R-KY) thought he was pulling a fast one on the Democrats. His plan was to offer a bill that Democrats wanted to pass, but would have to block, because they did not have the votes to pass it, or so he thought. To his chagrin, Harry Reid agreed to bring the bill to the floor, catching McConnell with his pants down. What followed is legislative history!Mitch McConnell (R-KY) thought he was pulling a fast one on the Democrats. His plan... more

From the perspective of the Theocon wing of the Republican Party, those Republicans who swear by their Constitutions, while completely ignoring them, America has committed a mortal sin. We have elected a Kenyan, Communist, Atheist, Socialist, Nazi, Muslim, who has abandoned God, to serve a second term as President. From the perspective of the Theocon wing of the Republican Party, those Republicans... more

Life has been a little dicey over at Fox, AKA Faux Noise, the propaganda wing of the Republican Party. The election demonstrated that their propagandists are so full of fertilizer that their eyes are brown. Since then, occasional guests, invited so they could parrot Republican talking points, forget to goose step in lock step, causing extreme consternation. Here, Ben Stein actually put being an economist ahead of being a Republican.Life has been a little dicey over at Fox, AKA Faux Noise, the propaganda wing of the... more

Yesterday I posted an article on the antics of McConJob and Lindsey Poo. This is a follow up to that article. Even before McCain attacked Susan Rice, he has been accusing the Obama administration of a cover-up and complaining that his Senate Homeland Security Committee had not been given any information on what happened surrounding the Benghazi attack. Yesterday the representatives from several departments briefed that committee extensively on Benghazi, as scheduled well in advance. Guess where McConJob was during that briefing?Yesterday I posted an article on the antics of McConJob and Lindsey Poo. This is a... more

Once upon a time, John McCain was a voice for sanity in the Republican Party, but since his failed bid for the presidency, he has devolved from McCain into McConJob, infamous for trying to put Drill Baby Dingbat a heartbeat from the oval office. Joining a colleague of equal intellectual flatulence, Lindsey Graham, he attacked a fine public servant with false accusations, because she was a messenger. In yesterday’s press conference Barack Obama shut them down.Once upon a time, John McCain was a voice for sanity in the Republican Party, but... more

The Republican Party, supported by some of the wing-nut fringe on the left, have accused Barack Obama of a coverup regarding the terrorist attack on the Benghazi Consulate that took place on September 11. To be sure, I don’t have enough information to completely satisfy me that there was no coverup, but I think I have enough to give Obama the benefit of the doubt, at least for now. Furthermore, the Republican hypocrisy on this issue is beyond blatant. The Republican Party, supported by some of the wing-nut fringe on the left, have... more

Willard Romney told one of the many tales he is using to make himself appear like he cares for the little people. Unfortunately for him, he was telling the truth to his fat-cat supporters, that he does not, so he has to lie to create that false impression. Now there are lies, and then there there lies so vile, that we should turn away from him in complete disgust, such as how much he had in common with former Navy Seal, Glen Dougherty. Two of Dougherty’s friends make this clear.Willard Romney told one of the many tales he is using to make himself appear like he... more

Almost without exception Republican politicians are anti-union. Their unequivocal support for so-called “right to work” laws, which really give employers the right to screw workers, leave unions no real way to protect workers against SCAB labor. That’s why it is such a surprise when prominent Republicans condemn SCAB workers and support union workers as they have this week, resulting in a win for labor.Almost without exception Republican politicians are anti-union. Republicans love to crow about how they and they alone support our troops, but in RepubliSpeak, that only means spending billions to greedy war contractors. Republicans have no concern for the men and women who have put their lives on the line to serve our nation. It’s hard to remember any political endeavor that even approaches the current Republican campaign in dishonesty and hypocrisy. That makes it a daunting task to choose the ten most hypocritical acts of Romney and his minions. Mark Howard has done an admirable job assembling that task. It’s hard to remember any political endeavor that even approaches the current... more

I have not always been kind to Harry Reid (D-NV). I nicknamed him the Nevada Leg Hound, because, when he has encountered Republican opposition, he has often humped a few GOP legs hoping for votes, whined, rolled over and played dead. That was not the case this week. Reid has Romney’s panties in such a big bunch, that it’s hard to tell which Willard is doing more: whining or etching his sketch. But the rest of the story is even better.I have not always been kind to Harry Reid (D-NV). I nicknamed him the Nevada Leg... more

The more I look at the situation we face today, the more convinced I am that the wisest course for Democrats and the best course for America is to jump off the fiscal cliff. Although more and more people are seeing the wisdom of that move, most of the media is acting as though those people do not exist. The more I look at the situation we face today, the more convinced I am that the... more

Montana had an excellent campaign finance law, over 100 years old, and upheld by the State Supreme Court. They believed. and rightly so, that filthy-rich individuals and corporations could drown out the free speech of Main Street citizens through massive spending, leading to a more corrupt government. Today, the fascist five Republican activists on SCOTUS overturned Montana’s law.Montana had an excellent campaign finance law, over 100 years old, and upheld by the... more

Switch hit Mitt Romney has a good reason for concentrating on his experience with Bain Capital, despite vulnerability to attack, because of his history as a corporate raider there. He prefers, anything over getting into his record as governor of Massachusetts. Common wisdom, along with most main stream media outlets, will tell you that Congressional dysfunction is a result of the unwillingness of both sides to compromise. That is a lie. In fact, for years one side compromised so much that the experience gave them hemorrhoids. When they did give up virtually everything to make a deal with Republicans, the Republicans reneged. Therefor, in Congress, the dysfunction is Republican.Common wisdom, along with most main stream media outlets, will tell you that... more

I coined the nickname Switch Hit Mitt for Romney, because he bats from both sides of every plate. In other words, he has positioned himself absolutely and irrevocably on both sides of every issue. Now that his nomination is virtually guaranteed, he will be trying to etch his sketch leftward, as far as he can, without completely offending the extremist hatemongers, to whom the Republican party has chosen to pander. As he does, the best tactic we can use to to define him using the positions that he staked out himself to win the extremist vote. Fortunately, it appears that is what the Obama campaign is doing.I coined the nickname Switch Hit Mitt for Romney, because he bats from both sides of... more

Mitt Romney has demonstrated his inability to relate to Main Street Americans time and time again. That is understandable, given his silver spoon. He relates to Banksters and corporate criminals, because he was one. But even in a hand-picked group of Pennsylvania Republicans, he not only could not relate, but also, was haughty and offensive about it.Mitt Romney has demonstrated his inability to relate to Main Street Americans time and... more
