Switch hit Mitt Romney has a good reason for concentrating on his experience with Bain Capital, despite vulnerability to attack, because of his history as a corporate raider there. He prefers, anything over getting into his record as governor of Massachusetts. Especially to his own party, Massachusetts is muck for Mitt.Switch hit Mitt Romney has a good reason for concentrating on his experience with Bain... more

Common wisdom, along with most main stream media outlets, will tell you that Congressional dysfunction is a result of the unwillingness of both sides to compromise. That is a lie. In fact, for years one side compromised so much that the experience gave them hemorrhoids. When they did give up virtually everything to make a deal with Republicans, the Republicans reneged. Therefor, in Congress, the dysfunction is Republican.Common wisdom, along with most main stream media outlets, will tell you that... more

I coined the nickname Switch Hit Mitt for Romney, because he bats from both sides of every plate. In other words, he has positioned himself absolutely and irrevocably on both sides of every issue. Now that his nomination is virtually guaranteed, he will be trying to etch his sketch leftward, as far as he can, without completely offending the extremist hatemongers, to whom the Republican party has chosen to pander. As he does, the best tactic we can use to to define him using the positions that he staked out himself to win the extremist vote. Fortunately, it appears that is what the Obama campaign is doing.I coined the nickname Switch Hit Mitt for Romney, because he bats from both sides of... more

Mitt Romney has demonstrated his inability to relate to Main Street Americans time and time again. That is understandable, given his silver spoon. He relates to Banksters and corporate criminals, because he was one. But even in a hand-picked group of Pennsylvania Republicans, he not only could not relate, but also, was haughty and offensive about it.Mitt Romney has demonstrated his inability to relate to Main Street Americans time and... more

I trust you already know about the hateful hoody comments made by Geraldo Rivera, regarding the murder of Trayvon Martin. Predictably, other goose-steppers at Fox, the Republican Ministry of Propaganda, are falling into line. Bill O’Lielly is one example. But you wont believe the hypocrisy on display here.I trust you already know about the hateful hoody comments made by Geraldo Rivera,... more

The exodus of advertisers from Rush Limbaugh following his hateful misogynous remarks, spearheading the Republican War on Women, has been in the news for several days. Limbarf has shrugged it off, claiming to have advertisers waiting in the wings to take their place. He did. In a perfect example of Republican family values, the company he picked could not be a bigger insult to women. The exodus of advertisers from Rush Limbaugh following his hateful misogynous remarks,... more

I have often wondered just how Ron Paul gets away with calling himself a Libertarian. Many of his views conflict with the core libertarian principle that personal freedom is the highest priority. But just as important, Ron Paul’s campaign has been little more than a front for Multiple Mitt Romney, aka Rmoney.I have often wondered just how Ron Paul gets away with calling himself a Libertarian.... more

Family Values Republicans have a way of proving that they believe their family values must be imposed by force on everyone else, but do not apply to their own behavior. In the Totalitarian Corporate Plutocracy of Brewerstan, formerly Arizona, Romney had such a man as the co-chair of his campaign there. Even before the scandal broke, Paul Babeu was problematic due to his extreme hatred of undocumented Latinos and his association with the White Supremacy movement.Family Values Republicans have a way of proving that they believe their family values... more

In their campaign to keep women barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen, Republicans are backing themselves into another no-win situation, as the nation lines up against their position. However, instead of having the wisdom to back down, Republicans are doubling down, generating even more widespread opposition. In their campaign to keep women barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen, Republicans are... more

Republicans are so deeply immersed in the meme of election fraud that now they are even accusing each other of cheating. As far as I’m concerned, the more they fight among themselves, the better I like it. It’s especially pathetic when it comes from Ron Paul, because he has not won a single contest.Republicans are so deeply immersed in the meme of election fraud that now they are... more

In the front lines of the Republican War on Women are the standard issues of abortion and birth control, and they serve two valuable purposes for the Republican Party. First they keep Republican Supply-side pseudo-Christians goose stepping without realizing that Republicans do not represent their well being. Second, they detract attention from what Republicans want to avoid: the economy. However the seamiest side of the Republican War on Women, the side that should provoke as much outrage as the standard issues, receives very little attention. In the front lines of the Republican War on Women are the standard issues of abortion... more

Republicans have been taking solid stands against women’s rights. Their misogyny extends well beyond opposition to abortion. They are trying to present denying birth control to women as religious freedom. This is largely motivated by their fear that whites will become a minority, so to hold that off they are doing their best to keep women barefoot and pregnant. Rachel Maddow appeared on Meet the Press yesterday, when this issue was discussed.Republicans have been taking solid stands against women’s rights. Their... more

There are few lies Republicans will not tell to demonize the poor, as justification for cutting off the needy to give bigger tax cuts and subsidies to the greedy. Many of those lies are quite absurd, like this one. Those lazy, good for nothing [minority implied] wastrels are cashing their federal benefits and running to the strip club for a lap dance. They are so serious about propagandizing US voters with this BS, that they are actually trying to pass a law to prevent their made-up complaint. There are few lies Republicans will not tell to demonize the poor, as justification... more

Republicans often provide us with a sense of déjà vu, as they resort to draconian practices in ways that we have seen before. Whatever Bill Clinton’s shortcomings, he did nothing worthy of impeachment, such as starting lengthily wars of aggression, torture, or using the federal bureaucracy in an attempt to attain a permanent Republican regime at taxpayer expense. Nevertheless, they did impeach Clinton, just to gridlock the government and prevent him from achieving more of his objectives. That time may well come again.Republicans often provide us with a sense of déjà vu, as they resort to... more

Some say that what a person does at home is private and should not be made a part of political discussions. To an extent I agree, but when that candidate is making his morality a campaign issue and has a history of condemning others over moral issues, it is an issue, not because of the moral lapse, but because of the hypocrisy. Some say that what a person does at home is private and should not be made a part of... more

Rick Santorum loves to wrap himself in the flag, and was one of the first to protest the end of the Republican war for oil and conquest in Iraq. He also went ballistic in blaming Obama for Defense cuts recommended by the Joint Chiefs, claiming that Democrats do not support our troops. One of the best measures of who supports our troops, and who doesn’t, is the way in which they treat veterans, who deserve the best we can give them. Santorum’s record is completely Republican.Rick Santorum loves to wrap himself in the flag, and was one of the first to protest... more

Yesterday Barack Obama proposed that Congress give him the authority to merge six separate agencies related to commerce, in move sure to confound Republicans. Although nobody will be fired, this will eliminate 1,000 federal jobs by attrition, save $3 billion, eliminate duplication of effort, and provide one-stop access for business. In theory, this should be a Republican wet dream, except for one thing. They hate Barack Obama more than they like their own policies.Yesterday Barack Obama proposed that Congress give him the authority to merge six... more
