Retiring Rep. Ron Paul of Lake Jackson has finally waded into the race to replace him in Congress. Paul is backing state Rep. Randy Weber, a Pearland Republican who faces Pearland City Councilwoman Felicia Harris in a July 31 runoff.
“Randy Weber will be a strong and consistent voice to get Washington off our backs so we in the 14th District can work and grow,” Paul wrote in a statement posted on Weber’s campaign web site. “Randy Weber is my choice for Congress. I hope you will join me and send him to Washington.”
