- It’s called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it.
This is what a friend of mine posted on facebook a few weeks ago.
Dora Videva, a Russian-Bulgarian graduate of an American university is currently working in Germany. Her job is exactly by her major, she has her first car and an apartment, plus the freedom to be out of her low-income, bad-economy country. But she wants to go back.- It’s called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it.... more

It is 3am in the morning as the screaming from inside the green ford escape gives way to a single loud slap. A few seconds of silence followed by louder screaming, then the door opens and a crying girl in a black party dress and high-heeled boots gets out of the car. She stumbles back to the road where the car came from. The guy is running after her and calling her to come back, she creams at him to leave her alone, to stay away from her.It is 3am in the morning as the screaming from inside the green ford escape gives way... more

Come onn, only to walk around and see the costumes! Please? It won’t take long!”
He’s been asking that for two days now. I don’t know if maybe switching to Chinese or ancient Australian dialect will help him understand – I. Don’t. Want. To. Dress. For. Halloween. Or. Watch. Other. People. Dressed. For. Halloween.
I’d rather write homework.Come onn, only to walk around and see the costumes! Please? It won’t take... more

By Milva Milenova,WWH/CJE-A foreigner’s definition of smart.
The short woman with olive skin and big eyes gestures vividly at me while trying to explain something.
Words like “inteligente” “estupida” and “dinero” pass me by as I blink and nod, hoping she would stop talking and teach me how to cut okra. She shakes her head and takes the knife, apparently she’s decided I am too hopeless of a case. Her Spanish is way too complicated for me to get it.By Milva Milenova,WWH/CJE-A foreigner’s definition of smart.

By Milva Matseva,WWH/CJE – Saturday afternoon, the pm shift is lining up to the small computer where they have to clock in. Around 50 figures dressed in khaki pants and blue t-shirts laugh and joke as they exit the door afterwards. By Milenova Matseva,WWH/CJE-The past weeks I have shown some Europeans’ viewpoints on The States and its ups and downs. Today we sit with an American to tackle an issue which may or may not have a simple solution.

By Milva Milenova Matseva,WWH/CJE – He has the serious look of a 30-year-old and the short typical haircut of a grow man. By Milva Milenova Matseva,WWH/CJE-The group of five at my register keeps shouting as I smile and cross my fingers under the counter. “The MOD will be here soon, sir,” I say to the father of the family, more to calm myself down than to reassure him.
