The following are some of the last known words from Captain Brent Downs before FBI agents raided his plane causing the hijacker to kill everyone on board.
Capt. Downs was the first pilot-in-command killed in a US Hijacking. His widow became the 1st US citizen to beat J Edgar Hoover in federal court.

Oct 4, 1971 a plane took off out of Nashville and ended up in Jacksonville Florida surrounded by FBI agents. Nine minutes after the plane parked FBI agents started shooting at the plane. All were killed on board.
The pilot's widow found Hoover and the FBI in federal court. This was the first time J Edgar Hoover and the FBI lost a wrongful death action in federal court. (search Downs vs USA 522 F.d2 990)
