Chocolate Rainmaker

I'm not sure how I feel about this pod. I think the concept was great, because this guy is so huge. I love how they just spoofed him on South Park as well.

But it took 4 minutes in for him to even really begin talking about his internet hype. And even then I'm still left with the questions - why did he put songs on youtube, his reaction to it being a huge internet sensation, etc.

How have I never heard of this guy before? I need to step my internet game up. I don't think I'd actually pay to see him perform, but that's just me. What you need to check out is Ronald Jenkees!

This was a really cool pod! It allowed me to take a closer look at Tay and really see what he's about! What makes his mind tick. He seems to be a really straightforward, down to earth guy! Unmoved by glitz and glamour, he tends to handle it all in a subtle and humble manner. I thought that was really cool to show where he shops! Wow! This pod just really made me gravitate to a person I really didn't care much for, 10 months ago! Captivating piece!

This guy is real cool, it just shows how easy it is to get famous off of YouTube! Tay obviously has talent, and I thought it was interesting how the podmaker looked at how Tay views himself as a celebrity. To me, that was the most interesting part of the pod. He went from recording songs in his basement to opening for Girl Talk! How awesome is that!? YouTube is the shit.

Keep it up Tay! You're leading the way!

Hey. Wait a minute. Does this mean that anyone in Minneapolis who does some Tubing and ends up playing the main stage at First Ave. (not the smaller 7th Street Entry one) runs the high risk of stalkership? Stay off the U of M campus, Tunepoders! They's dangerous!

I don't know what it is but I am totally enamered with this guy. I think it's the fact that he's from Minneapolis, and I get my friends to stalk him on campus :)

I read that Tay is history.... He continues to reach heights on the internet that any Marketing company would die for. 11 Million people searched him out. If marketers could figure this out ??? We are still watching...

I love this guy... I don't care that he's everywhere or supposedly yesterday's viral news. He's so fun, everything about him. While so much of the internet/viral video stuff out there relies on cheap laughs, and humor at somebody (or somebody's cat's) expense. ... this guy is actually talented, interesting, and unique. Please, more Tay!

This is also a really well shot piece that let's the viewer really experience who this guy is. Considering the length, i think it does a fantastic job of giving a sense of the guy behind the internet hit.

i'm buying his album, un pirated.
