Hormone labeling for Pennsylvania Milk Ending

Starting Feb. 1 consumers will have less information about their Milk. At issue is labeling for rbST, a hormone given to cows to increase milk production up to 100%. Monsanto, the major producer of rbST is losing customers when labeling is present. Starbucks recently stopped using rbST milk. Pennsylvania consumers will no longer have a choice, though. Advocates for the change argue that labels unfairly suggest rbST is dangerous. Scientists do not agree on the safety of rbST.

    • this never went into effect as the outpouring of opposition from consumers who demanded to know what is in the product they buy ( in this case what is not in the product) suprised all of the legislators. they abandoned
this. Though Ohio and Indiana have similar proposals on the table something tells me it wont go very far.
it is "Mothers against Monsanto" and we know mothers always win.

    • There is no reason other than to further "dumb down" the public in the name of profit-based "corporatism".

I'll have another 12-year-old Chinese Scotch on the rocks with a splash of melamine.

May George Bush bless you and keep you and cause his face to shine upon you and give you peace. Amen and Amen and Shondala Hondala Rhondala Fondala
