According to Gamermode, the latest company to jump on the Blu-Ray bandwagon is none other than Microsoft iteslf, the backers of the rival HD-DVD format.

So it seems that XBOX 360 Will Be Spinning The Blu-Ray.

In the bigger picture, this format battle has been a bit boring, not living up to the Betamax vs. VHS battle or even surpassing the almost 'secret' launch of the Sony's Minidisc as an alternative to CD. Got to love Microsoft, always have a 'plan b,' regardless if it means going back on your original ideas.

    • "While the article states that Microsoft might possibly look into Blu-ray, we just want to emphasize that there are no current plans to consider Blu-ray as an option. Microsoft continues to be dedicated to the HD DVD format and we don't want the Reuters article to mislead or suggest otherwise."

    • I wouldn't really call it jumping on the band wagon. They haven't penned any deals. They said if the customers want it, then they would do it. Which would mean an external blu-ray drive.

    • For Microsoft, it's only about money. Bill Gates? Money. Can't take it with you Billy boy.

Perhaps Billy boy could use some of his foundations money to make atonement to the people whose lives he unjustly screwed in his efforts to monopolize the computer software industry.
