The rise in popularity of Google Earth has resulted in three things:
1. Corporations have worked out that satellite images are great for viral marketing campaigns.
2. Artists are thinking bigger and creating art for aliens.
3. I now know what my grandma's garden looks like from thousands of feet above.
The second and third developments are definitely good things for the world.
