    • Nail on the head!

Hipster=Pretentious Egocentric Needy Twit with nothing genuinely interesting about themselves.

Hence, all the titles of "indie" movies, books, bands, and shows on their myspace or facebook. Oh, oh and photos of just themselves.

    • This was outstanding!
      "Reticent air of superiority..." Priceless!

I lived in the East Village for the past 8 years, and just recently had to get the hell out of NYC because people like THIS took over. So obnoxious... so apathetic... so snotty...

Watch out, my fellow native new yorkers! The hipsters are coming to eat you!

    • OH Yeah Man! Finally this country gal knows what I'm lookin at when I walk down the streets of Austin, New Orleans and Houston. Do they even know they are hipsters? Hmmmm Funny, be cool by being uncool! I always knew that was a hell of a sham. Too funny!!!!

    • I saw this probably a year or so ago.
I wish Current would show the entire thing [which is on youtube but the quality is so bad you can barely read the spotlight bios on the bottom]- I think it's missing "Mirror Time" and the "Music Collection Bragathon".
But I especially have always loved the end, and like to quote some of those lines in the snarkiest tone possible.

    • -No tattoos on "actors"
      -"Actors" way too fat
      -The guys lacked proper mustaches
-The "targeted" person lacked a polo shirt, or ANYTHING to make him stand out as a target
-Nobody has a messenger bag. Did you forget about bikes?

Basically, the creator of this pod is a bit out of touch with the actual hipster community. It could've been much better. The "lose the Oakleys" comment was good. That girl in the video portrayed nothing but a plain person that smokes too much. Also, that robot vs. ninja vs. pirate garbage is about 6 years old. Anyway... decent effort. Keep on trying.

oh man...This pod was very unique and funny.

The myspace photos i can seriously relate too...but i don't take too many pic's anyway. hmm...besides everything else.

Listen to Katy Perry's song - Your so gay.

ahh...if someone put that song at the end of the pod. Wow...that would of done it.

    • I salute you my fellow Olympians! This looks like a sterling event. I particularly like the charming native costumes worn by your competitors.

    • This is just some really great social satire. Brilliant writing and clever ideas and observations. As an L.A. native, I can certainly identify. Extremely well-executed. Kudos.

    • I noticed this as a trend - dressing like a lead singer, all the behavioral manerisms, need to be connected and out there. Now it has a name I an can point them out to my wife. I am a fan.

    • Wicked funny. Great pacing, doesn't dwell too long on the joke, but definitely executes the parody very well. Really creative events and good observations of the characters. Whether you love or hate hipsters, everyone knows one and that's what makes this pod so good.

    • A friend of mine sent me this a few months ago as well and I was really surprised to see this on-air. It is great! Very well put together. The pace, the competition, the ridiculous-ness of the whole thing really engages you :)

    • That was hilarious! I agree wtih Julie, I would watch "How To Spot a Hipster. And the varied hipster species -- what makes a New York hipster different from an LA hipster or the original hipster, the SF hipster?"

    • Love or hate hipsters (or both), this was hilarious. As someone who has lived amongst them in 2 different cities (but am unwilling, like the short suggests, to admit membership in the club...) this mockumentary really hits on what makes a hipster a hipster.

Best part: myspace profile picture commentary.

We all do it -- try to find the slightly sexy, yet funny, ironic, carefully unposed picture that we've spent so much time mulling over it's a complete joke.

Cheers to hipsters "hip" enough to make fun of themselves.

    • To use one of my favorite hipster phrases, "Suh-weeet!" This was funny with plenty of LOLs from the get-go. Creative, witty, a delicious send-up of a vaguely-defined group of people who are simultaneously cooler and more pathetic than the rest of us. Loved the "ironic" T-shirt contest and the judgment contest.
"If they only knew he was a 9-11 rescue worker!"
      "Oh, they do."
      Priceless!

Fun and entertaining. Now I want to see a pod on How To Spot a Hipster. And the varied hipster species -- what makes a New York hipster different from an LA hipster or the original hipster, the SF hipster? Please, someone make that pod. I would watch it.
