Where will the next Silicon Valley spring up? Philip Auerswald, professor of public policy at George Mason University, knows where to look. He surveyed regional innovation trends across the U.S. and cobbled a list of up-and-coming tech centers."
There'll never be a place like Silicon Valley! But I'm glad there'll be more innovative technologies and tech centers on the horizon!

this is all very cool and all however being and IT student currently and living near Cleveland Oh i'm not sure i see how columbus is the Top 1. yes it is our states capital and yes it does have a large population thus large tax income however they have much bigger fish to fry than becomeing a techno-city. the ecomomy in our state is a wreck and realistate is at and alltime low we have more people then Jobs and gas is close to $4.00 a gallon! i'm sorry but i just don't see it happening as soon as predicted. however Cinncinaty(my spelling is horrible) is already well on it's way.

Oh, Tori, have you ever been to Pittsburgh. Wow! It's absolutely beautiful at night looking across the river - much more intense scenery than San Francisco.
I do love San Francisco though.

4. Houston, TX
5. Milwaukee, WI
6. Pittsburgh, PA
7. Boise City, ID
8. Iowa City, IA
9. Lake Charles, LA
10. Yuma, AZI wonder what the international list looks like, cause this one doesn't have any cities that I expect to have quite the allure that the San Francisco Bay Area had...
