Hymotion has finally made these available to the public. If you own a Prius and are able to put another $10,000 into it this may be worth it. Throw a few solar panels on your roof and you're set. Bye bye gas stations. Go to their new website and read all about it.
I would get one for my Ford Escape Hybrid but that version is not out yet. :(
Through the increased use of electric drive, the Hymotion Plug-in Conversion Module enables the Prius to achieve in excess of up to 100 mpg for 30-40 miles* over a range of up to 40 miles, dependent upon driving conditions. Once the L5 module is depleted, the vehicle reverts to the normal drive cycle of a stock Toyota Prius.
Hymotion plug-in hybrids save more energy and produce less pollution than standard hybrids on the road today.
