YouTube Videos Now Pop-up Enabled

omarmung
YouTube added some very powerful tools for video creators, in the form of annotations. Annotations can take the form of speech bubbles, notes, or spotlights, and can link to other YouTube videos or YouTube searches. From your list of uploaded videos, click on the "Edit Annotations" button, and the Annotations menu allows you to add annotations and customize your video.

Why this is important: It adds another layer of interaction in the video, giving viewers control over how to navigate the video stream by allowing objects, people, thoughts, to be linked in a "choose your own adventure" style web.

    • Annotations are not yet working for embedded videos (like the one up top here). Go to the video's page at YouTube to see the pop-ups in action.
