The Economist, the international business and current affairs magazine, is incorporating online video in the form of www.economist.tv. The magazine presently produces and distributes various audio podcasts and some video clips, but video newscasting is a new direction for the publication.
"Economist.tv offers 5-minute video clips that follow the same unique style of The Economist magazine, offering clear reporting and commentary on world politics, business, finance and culture," says a press release by Virage, a video company helping prepare the new Economist service.
