Some embedded videos on current have a play and pause button and some don't. Not sure why this is but the result is that, at least for me, I now just skip anything without the playback controls. I have a dsl connection but still need to pause a pod for at least 20 secs to allow it to load a little bit so it plays all the way through. Without playback controls the pods constantly stop and start again making the viewing experience slightly more pleasurable than water boarding.

It's quite inspiring to see Africans speak out in the face of corruption and intolerant militarism. I would like to hear and see more from their point of view. The damage done from Maafa/colonialism is extensive, but ultimately reversible, if countries will it. Much easier said than done, of course.

This was pretty cool, that is a sad part of the world.
I for one am confident that they will find some kind of peace someday.
They half to get sick of fighting someday.
Hmmm....although no other race, creed or color ever has. - 3 years ago

Africa is not the only place in the world where blogging against the system is dangerous for the blogger. Blogging in the USA can result in direct and decisive retaliation from powerful interests. While western-based retaliation may not come in the form of a prison sentence or police beating, the attacks can be vicious and relentless and destroy a person and their livelihood.
So, while many may walk away from this video with little concern, you should know that these problems exist in your own backyard and you are going to face them sooner or later. It's not just someone else's problem anymore.

one of the most powerful tools at our disposal still is the power to disseminate information. once it's out there, it's only a matter of time before a catalyst occurs. i hope these guys manage to keep it going.

Blogging is fast becoming a powerful tool for changing societies across the globe. We--ordinary citizens--can no longer depend on official media sources to provide the facts on the ground. Keep up the good work guys!

Really great story with just the right amount of coverage. Even though you were indoors most of the time, it must have been tough to film this pod... I'm checking out their blogs now. Great job.

It's a brave thing they're doing. And there are others around the world putting out the truth. Can you imagine if Anne Frank had had a blog?
